I live in west kilbride, just 5mins from village inn fairlie. This was always a pleasant place to eat except for the noise however it closed down some time ago. Happily it has now reopened under new management and now offers a very high standard of food with a very variable range of menu. To suit all pockets sadly the... More

Went out for a late Sunday lunch and was very disappointed. We were shown to a extremely wobbly table, I mentioned it and all she said it was the floor, never moved us. We then ordered drinks and starters & main course. The starters and drinks arrived within 10mins, they were ok. We then waited one hour for main course... More

Only looking for a coffee however I was made very welcome and the staff have a great sense of humour - asked for a view of the sea and they showed me the seaside mural :-) Very good deals on the menu with British, Spanish, Indian, etc available. Will be back for a full meal and will enjoy the outside... More

Attended yesterday with my wife. Great value for money, had three course meal, which turned out to be chicken pakora and bhoona for about £7.50 each. Certainly tickled our taste buds. Our day was only soured by the couple next to us whom we overheard hatching a plan for money off their meals, despite hoovering up their curries like a... More

This was our first visit to the Village Inn and unfortunately was a disappointing eating experience. We ordered Indian food (chicken pakoras followe'd by curries). Unfortunately the food was not hot enough and the Nan bread accompanying the currie was undercooked and doughy. To be fair the final bill was discounted when we complained, but the whole dining experience was poor.

Food was greasy and expensive. I paid above £8 for scampi that most definitely came straight from a freezer. Dirty, wilting salad. My partner's haggis has given him a stomach ache and I feel nauseous and couldn't finish my dinner. Ed Sheeran - 'Shape of You' played loudly, ON REPEAT. And the blonde waitress was aggressive. I understand if this... More

Re-opened after a few months closed but now excellent food and very good prices. Choices of traditional menu, special offers, steaks, curries, etc. Currently (March 2017) opens at midday but may become 11am soon. Highly recommended !

My Husband and I, along with my mother, stayed in the apartment above the village Inn for 4 days recently. During our stay, we had our evening meal in the restaurant in the pub below, The Village Inn. it was mid week so was extremely quiet, however, the food was absolutely beautiful, varied and plenty on your plate. The best... More

Went for the early evening meal ( up to 1900 ) Good helpings with very pleasant service would have been 5 star but there was a group in and the noise level was high. The waiter offered to move us through to the front which was much quieter.
