We stumbled upon this place when we were at the Dragon's Teeth Access Trail parking. It's a short walk on a nice path towards the Ritz pool area. The fish tacos were made with locally caught mahi-mahi. They were the best we've had. Very professional service. Beautiful surroundings, definitely worth the trip.

we had better experiences at the Banyan Tree previous years. we went there with the same excitement but unfortunately our experience was not the same. We ordered the catch of the day, e.g. we weren't told about the price of this dish (it's MP) and we didn't care, but when I asked to have some bread, I was told it's... More

We (myself and my 16 year old daughter and 14 year old son) ended up here on our first night in Maui when we found the nearby beach burger place closed. Having spent more than 24 hours travelling from Australia and not eaten in hours we felt this was our only option. Arriving relatively early we were able to sit... More

My husband and I were treated to top notch service and delicious fresh seafood. The ahi tuna poke was our favorite, with the mahi mahi entree and 'donut' dessert rounding out the experience. The lobster ramen was delicately flavored and packed with seafood, but just seemed to be missing something to really bring the flavors together. Also, note that as... More

Our reservation at another restaurant had gotten screwed up so we ended up with no place to eat. The hostess was great and able to accommodate us! Took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and then were told that they were out of the wine we had selected. The new one came another 5 minutes later not very cold.... More

The Banyan Tree is friendly yet refined and has pretty good food. Its goat cheese ice cream is especially extraordinary. Most other dishes are rather in the OK category. The price is quite steep, even by Maui standards. Recommended

Waited an absurdly long time for the hostess to show up (she appeared to have been "indisposed"). We then waited longer for her to languorously seat the other parties waiting. Not a great start! Nevertheless we had a delicious meal. The food here was undeniably excellent. All appetizers and entrees were superb, when they finally arrived. The waiter was attentive... More

We went here for a birthday dinner and the service was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about their menu. We ordered some of their specialty cocktails the lava and mule. They were both delicious and would definitely recommend. The best part was that the restaurant was vegetarian friendly which worked well with my family since half of... More

I had fish and my wife had a fish entree - both excellent. Nice facility. Staying at hotel so convenient. Probably liked cane and canoe restaurant- 5 minutes from hotel slightly more. Pricing as expected - 2 of us - one drink total one desert total about $100. Will come back as here for 8 days.

Try the Buddhist bowl. Excellent salad. The fish tacos made my wife so happy too! (And that's our goal is to have a happy wife). Thanks to Henry for stopping by and checking on how we like our lunch. :)
