More upscale and the prices reflect that but totally worth it. Big portions and an elegant atmosphere; good service too. Had an incredible rib eye two ways and crazy -good desserts. Not as casual as other places but definitely not formal, either.

If you are a gourmand, you'll probably already know about this place. Cocktails are not the usual fruit juice and coconut milk, but typical of bigger cities - yes, you can get something that doesn't come with an umbrella in it. Dinner was excellent. Service was great, the arepas were to die for.

Wow, this was outstanding. From the moment you walked in the restaurant smelled delicious. The service was impeccable. Our waiter, Aaron, delivered excellent suggestions. 2 of us had the nightly steak special and this did not disappoint. Every detail of the meal was well thought out. I would say this is a must stop when you visit Vieques.

At least 5 people we ran into here told us to make a reservation and dine here. They were all right! We loved everything about it. We started with ceviche, they called it something else but just read the desccription...loved that. Two of us had the catch of the day, yum, then had the flan/cake dessert...wonderful. The service was spot... More

We had reservations on a Saturday evening. We had drinks at the bar before being seated. The bartender and patrons seated at the bar were friendly and social. We asked the hostess if we could wait to be seated so we could have another drink. She accommodated us and seated us promptly when we were ready. Our waitress was an... More

El Quenepo is an excellent restaurant. The chef is self taught and his choice of mixture of flavors is amazing !!! His wife will welcome you at the door. She is very nice. Staff will make good recommendations. Do pay them a visit. You won't be sorry.

My friends and I LOVED this restaurant and felt it was one of the hi-lites of our amazing trip to Vieques. We loved it so much that we actually went to dinner there two nights in a row. Our waiter, Sam, could not have been better at his job. Had a great personality, made great recommendations and was very attentive.... More

This restaurant is only open for dinner. Located across the street from the beach in Esparanza, so one gets pleasant breezes from over the water. Quality and menu are excellent. Everything was prepared and presented well. Our best meal on Vieques.

I just to enjoy the food here, but my last visit was disappointing. Prices have gone up but the food was not that tasty anymore. Did they changed the chef?

Dinner here is always a good experience. Start with their famous cucumber cocktails. Portions are generous. If you like fresh fish, go for the catch-of-day. You'll get the whole fish, moist and tender. Or, go for the best Mofongo you will ever eat. It's upscale with lobster. Or, choose a couple of appetizers.
