My wife and I have eaten at this Esperanza landmark restaurant many times since it opened in 2007. We missed it sorely last year when it underwent more than a year of restoration after Hurricane Maria.

The service was lovely. Our waitress was enthusiastic and well informed about the food.
We thought the quality of the cooking was very high and worth the price. The pacing of the meal was slow which we loved.
El Quenepo is one of if not the best places to eat on Vieques. The atmosphere in the newly renovated space is even better than it was before Maria. The space is now more intimate and even more tasteful than before.
