The Lantern

Ratings and reviews

Certificate of Excellence2015, 2017 Winner
"The Lantern, formerly the Old Lantern Inn, has been restored to open as a pub, restaurant and soon a delicatessen and quality supplies shop too. We have 18 state of the art lines at the bar featuring artisanal beers and cider sourced from microbreweries in Kent and from beyond and our very popular prosecco tap! We also serve a range of fine spirits and wines and will soon be adding excellent coffees and pastries to our range on completion of the shop. We serve a range of bar snacks and meals from our chefs. Centred around British classics from our English chefs our dishes will also include Asian influences from our Japanese chef, soon to include specific sushi events. Families, dogs and horses

Perfect! My husband and I took the hour long walk to this lovely, cosy pub earlier, having stumbled upon it whilst driving locally yesterday. Expecting only a bowl of chips, as we're both vegan, we were most pleasantly surprised for the chef to casually chat...More

No it was certainly not a joke, the service and food were awful. You might have had a wonderful time with the food etc but we did not. We ordered a camembert starter, it had curdled, not runny and delicious. 2 minggie very... More

Hi, I've only just received this question that you apparently posted 8 hours ago! You're not suddenly getting old! There is a fabulous Wendy house over two floors in the garden for the children to enjoy.
