Buzzy city-centre place. You can't book unless you're 8 or more, so best to turn up early in case they've booked some big parties. We went at 5:30 after some shopping, and sat there with drinks and books until 6pm (when they start serving food). We ordered 8 tapas dishes between 4 of us, and it was just right. The... More

Great choice of tapas but if you are in a group the portions are a bit on the small size. We had 16 people for a booking of 20. We were served for 20 and there wasn't enough to go around. Apart from that the food was amazing.

With inside and outside dining this tapas restaurant is a good place to cater for all weathers. If fine great to sit outside under big umbrellas and inside sees a few individual tables and larger ones for shared dining. Tapas is good quality and decent portion sizes. Wines and beers always varied and sensibly priced.

You cannot book unless you are a party of 8 or more. We arrived early - table at the window was empty. We sat down, ordered our drinks including a bottle of wine for 2 of us to have with our food. Waitress came up and said the table was booked for a party in 30 minutes time. We moved... More

Our first visit to Truro was a rewarding trip. A very pleasant and interesting county seat focussed around the cathedral. We wanted a dog friendly place for lunch and stumbled across the Old Grammar School tucked away in one of the back streets close to the cathedral. There four tables outside under the protection of huge parasols to shield the... More

Totally recommend this eatery in Truro, really friendly helpful waiters/waitresses great service. We had a relaxing fun evening in this trendy tapas bar, feels like a wine bar too but was okay to take the kids as well. Between 6 of us we ordered around 10 dishes a combination of fish chicken beef squid and a big plate of nachos,... More

We were looking for somewhere for lunch that allowed dogs and when the waitress saw us looking at the menu outside she welcomed us and our dog inside. The restaurant has a lovely old school atmosphere but with great modern decor. The staff were very friendly but not over attentive, the homemade tomato soup was excellent as was the Bavette... More

We came here for lunch. It really does feel like a school layout with the menu on the board and refectory tables. Loved this. The waitresses are really helpful, friendly and honest. For example, we only ordered one humous platter and she said you really don't need any more for two people and not everywhere would do this. The food... More

After a business meeting I decided to take a well-earned break at The Old Grammar School. Staff are really pleasant, very friendly and helpful. Coffee and tapas were excellent. You can sit inside or outside, the outside can be a bit noisy owing to some renovations taking place but don't let that put you off. A great place to sit... More

Based on my experience. Went there for lunch we both had mezze to share but besides the white sauce that was lovely and the toast and olives rest poor falafel where not tasted nice and homemade hummus did not enjoy at all even the roasted red peppers the taste was not nice. Chips where very nice. 6/10 for me I... More
