Went to this place for a good lunch and was not disappointed. Cod in white wine sauce with samphire and asparagus was very good. As was the apple and rhubarb crumble. Would heartily recommend.

This pub was full of surprises, the special menu seemed to just list types of fish, "cod, haddock" etc, but the staff brought the menu to life talking you through how the chef prepares each one with amazing sauces and flavours. The scallops were huge and the fish outstanding but the service and view were also great!

We visited twice during our Easter break as a family of 6. All the seafood was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable - the chef even came for a chat during our first visit. The childrens meals were also great - fresh and home cooked. We are quite a foodie bunch and couldn't fault it. Not the cheapest,... More

Food excellent, well presented and hot. Service perfect. Problem came with the bill. My wife and i had paid cash at the bar for our drinks. There were two drinks on the bill. I pointed this out but to my surprise i was told my word could not be accepted.Even though the change for the drinks was on the table... More

Overall a fabulous experience. Excellent service-our waitress knew the menu thoroughly and was helpful and delightful. Fantastic locally caught fish, perfectly cooked. Good beer and wine. The best dining out experience we've had in a long time. Capped off by chatting with the chef/owner. Low key but excellent. No hesitation in recommending this place highly.

We recently had dinner there luckily, thanks to our B & B's hostess. It is the only place to eat in Dale after 5:00 P.M. so we were especially pleased that the food and beer were excellent. Both my wife and I had the Beef pie and found it to be excellent. Service was good, although I'm sure it gets... More

We are on a walking holiday and booked a table at the Griffin Inn as we are staying in Dale. What a fabulous surprise - the choice of fresh fish dishes is really extensive. I hadn't heard of many of the fish on offer but we had each one explained and were to make a good choice. Each fish dish... More
