The Griffin Inn has won may awards for its culinery experience, priding itself on offering a wide range of locally caught fish and has many outstanding reviews on TA. It is possibly this exceptional level of expectation that initiated my disappointed experience. My main gripe, and I may be out on a limb here, is that there is not a... More

Lovely retreat after a few miles coastal walk. Great pub grub at good prices. Fresh fish in abundance and expect to pay good money for it. But it's worth it. Battered Haddock and chips £16.95. Delicious and worth every penny.

Booked in advance for a party of five for three consecutive evening meals. Unfortunately, on the first evening I ordered the scallops starter for £14.95. When it arrived I was shocked, as there were only two scallops. I complained at the time, but the waitress simply explained they were hand dived. This in my opinion does not warrant the outrageous... Amazing choice of fishy dishes - absolutely gourmet choices and presentation. Can recommend all the starters and mains - we had most of them between us. Great service as well. Particularly recommend the mixed gravlax and Seaweed Gin. Not sure about the deserts and bread we were served. They were not gourmet standard but I enjoyed the mango sorbet. Great... More

Ended up in this tiny village on a bit of a whim. Had heard the food was good at the griffin inn so gave it a go. Starters were excellent if a little on the small size , for their price tag. I had prawns my husband the razor clams, then I had cod he had steak for mains. The... More

We visited The Griffin Inn twice last week and the second visit only affirmed the positive feelings that we took away from the first visit. Both our visits were lunchtime, on the Wednesday we sat outside with the dog but on Friday we left the dog resting after a therapeutic swim and treated ourselves. We ate from the special seafood... Visited on a Sunday afternoon after a family do. We are dog owners and always find it a shame that clean well behaved dogs are not allowed. The beer and food were to a good standard and would definitely return. Most restaurants in France allow dogs!

At last- good seafood in one of the loveliest coastal areas of the UK. For many years, I have been puzzled by the lack of good fish restaurants in pembrokeshire. I also remember the days when The Griffin in Dale only served pasties and half pints of shell-on prawns, but thankfully, those days are long gone. We ate here 3... More

We went here on a lovely sunny Monday evening. The view from the modern Annexe is Dale-ightful. The waitress was pleasant and polite but she made a slight mix up with our order (because she was so apologetic we instantly forgave her). This is primarily a fish restaurant but we were glad of the other choices on their menu.
