Ended up here after trying to find somewhere to stop for some time. And aren’t we glad we did! Off the beaten track and loads of character. Colourful local characters drinking in the bar and friendly staff made this a lunch to remember. Food was...More

Our b&b host suggested this place for dinner because it was closest by taxi. We liked the atmosphere and friendly service. The food was average pub food. Recommend.

This pub/restaurant is one of the best I have eaten in. It’s a cosy, friendly proper little British pub, the staff are lovely and the food is delicious! I have recommended it to everyone I know and I will absolutely be back!

We were staying in nearby Chollerford and several people recommended this pub, which apparently was taken over and run by the locals. Very comfortable and nice, busy atmosphere. Great real ales. Food pretty good, though the pastry cases of my goats cheese and red onion...More
