DO NOT ORDER CARRY OUT - ESP ON A FRIDAY! I'm 10x more likely to write a glowing review than vent (just check out my other reviews), but tonight's experience deserves a write-up. let me break it down by the numbers: ordered at 6:46 on...a Friday, 1 order Goons, 3 gyoza, 3 shrimp tempura, and 3 rolls. Was given order ready time of 30-40 minutes. Arrived and paid at 7:10pm. was told they were just waiting on the appetizers, the rolls were ready. At 7:30, I asked for an update, since I'd been waiting for 20 minutes and was now 20 minutes AFTER the "order ready window." Was told again that they were just waiting on my shrimp. TWELVE minutes later they show up with my shrimp. So my other fried foods (the crab rangoons and the gyoza) had been sitting in their containers for over 30 minutes and were now cold and soggy. I asked to speak to the manager and spoke to the server who was filling in. I asked how they felt about sending me home with a half edible meal, half an hour after they quoted me it would be ready. I was told that was the best they can do, that carry-out orders get bumped and I should know for next time before I order on a Friday. Sorry, guess it's my fault for wanting an edible meal for $75 on a Friday night. They did offer 15% off my next order (which will likely never happen) and the real manager should call me soon. But the punch line is that I arrived home at 8pm to a starving family with soggy, cold fried food and paid a lot of money for it. We'd already stopped ordering from the Wasabi in Clayton because of their inability to quote accurate ready times for carry out and painfully slow dine-in experiences, but I think I'm through with Wasabi altogether. There are PLENTY of amazing restaurants, sushi and otherwise, in St Louis. Wasabi won't be getting my business anytime soon and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.More

We’ve stopped by Wasabi in Kirkwood and were pleasantly surprise. It was a “5 star burger” before it became Wasabi, the decor was new, modern and in good taste. The table was set with a good quality silverware and dishes. I like to see a...serous approach to setting a table and service. I was pleased with sushi rolls and Udon soup and will try there other location that is closer to home. It’s a little bit pricey, but once in a while it will do.More

I went to Wasabi Sushi in Warson Woods being familiar with the other Wasabi locations and it was nearby and close to somewhere I had to be that evening. The restaurant was nice and clean and the service was polite and friendly. The sushi I...had was very good. The happy hour menu at Wasabi can't be beat for value! Overall it should have been an excellent experience. However, once I received my sushi rolls I asked my server to go ahead and bring me my check since I was in a bit of a time crunch. After quite a bit I hadn't received it and another server came over to explain that their system was down. There was no way for me to pay. At first I couldn't even get a total for my meal. The server said that I could give them my credit card number and they could bill me later - which seems like a terrible suggestion in this day and age. It wasn't that I was suspicious of the individuals, but more concerned about how much the charge would be and would I be charged accurately since they couldn't total up my bill and how would they dispose of my credit card information. The server even suggested that if anything strange showed up on the card that I knew where to find them. Finally after about 20 minutes of waiting and hoping for their system to come up the manager was able to give me the total of my bill and I amazingly had cash on me to cover it. My poor server didn't get much of a tip because I had limited funds. The whole experience was so strange that I don't believe I'll go back. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the restaurant thought --- just remember to run by the ATM beforehand!More

Trying to find good sushi in St. Louis is not always easy, but wasabi has been a great option! The sushi has been good and hand rolls very well prepared. The fried rice was ok, have had better ones. But sushi very good!

I can't begin to say what a disappointment it is to write this review. We've been going for decades...back when it was Ted & Teikos and the Sansui. It became Wasabi some years ago. And, it followed the tradition of the previous sushi/Japanese restaurants with...excellent food and good service...until now. As I said..."What Happened?!?!" Our service was slow and indifferent. Took long to get drinks and the server had zero enthusiasm. That wouldn't have been a deal breaker but the "sushi" clinched it. The tuna wasn't red, plump and fresh but brownish and mealy. The yellowtail was tough and flaking. Fresh sushi does NOT do that. Finally, our roll looked and tasted as if it had been a display version that had been out for hours. The rice was gummy and tasteless. It was clear the sushi "chefs" were not accomplished artisans. The assembly of the rolls proved that. And, again, the taste was flat and mediocre. Even the wasabi and soy couldn't save any of it. Maybe that's why so few people were there at 8:00pm on a Friday night. For years, this was our "go to" place. Now, Tani; Sushi Bistro; Sushi Ai or many others will be. That's really sad considering how much we've loved it over the years.More

Enjoy the bento box, as well as the sushi. They made a mistake and brought out steak instead of chicken so we tried it. While we won't recommend the steak, everything else was quite enjoyable including the soup and salad.

New to MO and have not found a great Sushi spot yet. I stopped in with my daughter and everything was fantastic including the drink specials. You have stop in a try an Apple Pucker Shot for $5. It is also reasonably priced compared to...the other sushi places around Creve Coeur that do not taste that great. As long as I am in town I will always visit this location.More

The sushi is always good and the service is quick. The menu is typical for a sushi place, meaning the selection is broad, something for everyone. Sushi: good. Bentos: good. Salads: good. Edamame: good. They haven't disappointed me yet.
