We had lovely drive out to the village of linton next to grassington. The pub is located by the village green next to the old bridge over the river. The pub is very welcoming and the food was decent. And with a good choice of draft beers.

Absolutely excellent food, in a lovely room. Marked down by the just OK service. Waitresses were all very pleasant and polite, but maybe just lacked a bit of basic training? Waitress simply waved towards a table at the back of the room when "showing" us to our table? Fresh drinks brought, but empties never taken away? Coffees arrived some 5... More

We (2 couples) visited the Fountaine after a lovely long walk. A busy Saturday, nice atmosphere, fab interior design, excellent service and scrumptious food. Between the party we ate: Pate, Yorkshire pudding dippers, bacon and Brie sandwhich and hand cut chips, and monkfish scampi. All delicious. Will consider this for a weekend away for sure as the pub also do... More

Took some friends for lunch today, we use this place regularly, last time it was super but today, not so good. I guess it depends who's cooking and how busy they are. It's not cheap and today we left a little disappointed. My beef super, friends fish just as good, chicken pancake stodgy, my wife had chicken, dry. Hasn't put... More

We stayed nearby for a week over the New Year and this became our favourite place for a meal and a drink. The food is very good even for a gluten intolerant like me, the staff were very attentive and very knowledgeable. Their is a lovely restaurant but also a less formal area to dine in in the bar where... More

Enjoyed a lovely, enormous meal at the Fountaine during our holiday locally. We all had starters and can seriously recommend the BBQ sticky ribs. The main courses were a good selection and we had lamb shoulder, chicken tandoori and the fish platter which we would again highly recommend. The finale of Bakewell Tart was absolutely amazing. Photos show the lamb... More

Had lunch today as one of a party of six. The welcome was warm, we were shown to a large table so we had plenty of room and the orders for both drinks and food were taken swiftly. We all went for the lunchtime specials menu priced at £10 for two courses and had three choices for each course. The... More
