We happened across the Red Lion when out for a walk from a camp site we were staying on. We asked for a table and explained we were on a bit of a time limit as we had to walk back along narrow lanes and wanted to get back before dark. The staff were more than accommodating by taking our... More

Went there for an evening meal with a small group whilst we were staying in the area and were made very welcome. The choice of food was extensive and all the meals were excellent. The bill was a pleasant surprise as well. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Very happy with my faggots, mash and peas. Lots of gravy. Orange and tonic to accompany. A bit more pricey than I expected. Quiet midway. A good pit stop. Would return and be more adventurous if have the time

The extent of the menu was staggeringly large, and all placed around the walls of the pub. The food was served quickly and efficiently, good honest pub grub - plenty of it. What more could you want.

We visited today for Sunday Lunch and were able to be accommodated even though our party included a wheelchair user and a dog. Beef, Lamb and Chicken roasts were available, as well as a further menu of pub favourites. The restaurant also has quite a selection of fish dishes including trout, salmon and sea bass. We didn't try other dishes,... More

First time visit. We thought we would try this place for a Sunday Roast. WSe arrived at 1 pm and there were quite a few people eating at this pub with probably about 20 eating tables. Some locals drinking at the bar. By the time we had ordered more people were rolling in through the door and the place was... More

Third visit to this pub , staff are always friendly and helpful , food always nicely cooked and presented, although the pub was very busy with bookings , we were just a walk in and the staff did a great job in fitting us in . after ringing several places and finding no vacancies for a 30 mile radius around chepstow I rang here and they had a room. Room was cozy with ensuite, went down for evening meal, lovely food- quite a variety of vegetarian dishes too!which was ideal for me. Nice breakfast the following morning. Room overlooked the local cemetary.
