The George is split into two sides - the restaurant area is L shaped and they have a good menu choice and the home made food is very good.

We regularly come here as we live nearby. The food here is excellent. The beef burgers are homemade, fresh and very nice. The chicken goujons are also very delicious. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend eating out at this restaurant...More

Always one of our favourite places to eat and on this occasion the experience was exceptionally good. Love the decor and ambience and the service was perfect, prompt but not rushed and with a smile. The food was delicious too!

I stayed here for 2 nights with work and ate in the pub on both occasions. The bedroom was fine and a good price - breakfast was a little limited (I don't tend to eat cooked stuff) but totally fine. What made this place better...More

Description
The Forester Newspaper 'Restaurant of the Year Finalist 2013' The Millingbrook Restaurant offers a wide range of fresh food from Lighter Bites to Traditional Home Cooked Meals. The George Inn prides itself on great service, an imaginative menu and we are Forest Famous for our value for money. The restaurant is open all year round and our garden is available during the summer months for al fresco dining. Our food is locally sourced whenever possible, for example our Meat is sourced from Fitzgerald's Butchers in Lydney, Cheese from Miller's in Newnham and we use the Finest Butter from Netherend Dairy Farm. Pre-booking is always recommended for evening meals and our Sunday Carvery.
