After a delayed arrival to Auckland and late check in to our hotel - I found this restaurant on maps and rang to check if they could do a take away order. Half an hour before closing time they were more than obliging - lucky for us the food was delicious. A selection of entrees - curry puffs, beef satays, angel chicken wings and boxing chicken as well as massaman curry and steamed rice fed our family of four. Would definitely recommend and hope to return before the end of our trip

My husband will tell you I'm never short of words but I don't have enough for the meal I experienced tonight. For entrée I had the tempura prawns a dish I always order when it's on the menu, these were huge the coconut coating delicious and a very special dipping sauce I've not had before. Easily the best I've ever had. Yummmm. For my main I ordered Yum Nua a beef salad but hot and spicy, normally I find after a delicious entrée the main can disappoint but not here. The amount of meat was amazing I couldn't finish it all, there were helpers at the table though, yes it was hot and spicy, with another glorious sauce Chilli and sweet with maybe a lemon back flavour? This gorgeous plentiful food with two drinks came in at $50 which was a bargain. Cannot recommend too highly, my only regret is not finding it sooner,we'll be back again and again. No photos, I was too busy eating, the restaurant itself is a delight to dine in,a Thai garden so wear warm clothes there are those plastic drop curtains and heaters but it's not overly cozy.

The outside of the restaurant has a very intriguing entrance and it certainly lives up to its name as a 'secret garden', a lot has gone into the creation and decoration of the various areas, the subtropical and exotic gardens, Thai carvings and statues everywhere. Its quite magical at night with all the twinkling lights. My friends all ordered Thai curries with rice which they said were very tasty, and with just the right amount of chilli, I ordered the Pad Thai, which was ok but a little on the dry side.

Although we wanted to check out the atmosphere , we were not disapointed here. The Tuktuk's , lighting and heating was perfect for a cool night. The food, was very average. For those of you who say its AUTHENTIC - you don't know what your talking about. For the amount we spent , does not compensate the quality or authenticity of the variety of meals we had. The duck curry - had very little meat and tasted stale. They clearly do not advise what types of wine you are allowed to bring, be careful which ones as they will charge a hefty bill at the end.

This place truly is spectacular. It’s like you are really in Thailand from the moment you enter. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing. The green curry is a favourite and their peanut sauce on the the satay sticks is so yummy

This is my all time favourite restaurant. Such an amazing atmosphere, I felt like I was in Thailand. The food is exceptional and the staff are very friendly. The green curry is the best. If you’re in south Auckland you must visit

Sensational Thai food in a fabulous setting, very authentic and they even managed to get tuk tuks! The restaurant has a wow factor as soon as you walk in. Food was all superb, 10/10.

Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised... from the tuktuks, lighting and decor to the extensive menu and tasty food. Thai dress for the staff would certainly add to the authenticity of this hidden gem.

New ownership/management I think. Great authentic food, spicy and tasty, took me back to my days in Bangkok.

We were a party of over 40 gathered to celebrate a birthday. The company was great but the food - buffet style @ $44 head was terrible along with the service. The food lacked flavour, was served late and was not hot enough. Seating is on cheap plastic chairs and it was freezing cold. They supplied blankets for warmth - but not enough blankets and had gas heaters - but said they didn’t have any gas so couldn’t light them. The fruit salad - unripe plums, apple, orange and pineapple - inedible. Then it came time to pay - they said they usually only do one bill per party but would allow 1 per table - the first person up was told they had to pay for 9 - who does that - it was a set price - and if someone skipped without paying they had the organisers details. They were quite nasty about it. Don’t go here

Tom kha Gai: I expect fragrance: citrus notes, the unmistakable scent of galengal and coriander a touch of chilli. And the taste, sour and sweet, more of these notes plus coconut cream, a broth, the flavour of the meat and vegetables, a wicked combination of 10 or 15 ingredients. I got something smelling like old mushrooms, it tasted like onions with chicken, lots of mushrooms and a lemon coconut cream- not unpleasant but not Tom kha and certainly not worth $22 takeaway! I phoned in my complaint and was told sorry then hung up. I expected a refund at very least. This place looks amazing, really cool decor but that is what you are paying for. Not the cuisine.

What a great find. Our Uber driver recommended we go there for dinner and even phoned them to make a booking while he drove us there. A quick trip to Auckland finished on a high note with a tasty fresh dinner that we both enjoyed. The service was as good as the food. Many thanks
