Our waitress was attentive and friendly, while the scenery of the restaurant looks very nice. We sat outside and the lights, plants, and design of the dining area was lovely. The food itself was particularly good, one of the best places we experienced on our trip. They serve a selection of game animals, even hunting some of them themselves. I had the boar while two of our party had the deer, both were well-cooked and served with typical side dishes. A lot of care was put into both the presentation and flavors of each dish. Delicious food and would not hesitate to come again.

Six of us met there again, a year on from our last meeting, and enjoyed another very good dinner in a very friendly and 'gemütlich' atmosphere. No doubt, we will be back there again next year.

My wife and I and two other couples meet here each year for dinner and we enjoyed another meal there this month. Despite a very large group at the restaurant, the service we received was excellent. The food is typical of this part of Germany and the servings are very generous. The owner of the restaurant made a particular point of welcoming us with a glass of local Sekt (sparkling wine) on the house. We had a very enjoyable evening at the Krone.

Visited for Sunday lunch, lovely village with lots of nice walking in the vineyards. The Krone has a great position with a nice outdoor eating area. Inside its 16c and very homely, a typical wooden paneled room full of life. The menu (which you can look at on line before your arrive is extensive with two excellent value set meals . We opted for the 97 year menu which was 4 courses (plus a chef's offered hors d'oeuvres) with the option of adding 3 different regional wines, which we opted for. The meal was excellent, well cooked and all 4 of us were very happy and the wine selections complimented the food. And of course being Germany, this was also for a reasonable price of €39.50! I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a great choice of local foods complimented by good local Kaiserstuhl wines. Lastly the service was friendly and efficient, well worth going out of your way for.

Great restaurant, with nice menu. Fully modern, brand new internal and nice view to the small towncenter. Good beers, nice serving.

We met with four friends for dinner and ordered local dishes. Compared with meals we had there previously over several years, our meals this time were average rather than very good. The service, however, was very good. Would we go back there again? I'm not sure as there is a lot of competition in this price range in the local Kaiserstuhl area.

We stopped there for dinner. Great German food, huge portions and great value. The staff was very professional and nice. What a pleasant evening. I definitely can recommend this restaurant.

We stopped for Lunch in the shady garden and ordered the Zwiebelkuchen and Flammekuchen together with some fresh wine from the Board. We were surprised with an interesting 'amuse-bouche' for starters. The onion and bacon tarts, regional specialties, were excellent and the new wine showed just the right level of fermentation: not too sweet, not too harsh. The service was friendly and efficient. For future reference we looked at the main menu and were impressed by the array of local dishes including game offerings some of it from the proprietor's hunt.

It was lunch time and we both were ready to eat. We each saw the Krone at the same time and agreed to stop. The Krone is a Gasthaus aspiring towards gourmet food. We chose the garden despite looming clouds and were rewarded by the weather and the kitchen. The menu was a bit fanciful. My wife ordered the Jungschweinrücken and I the Forelle am Rebstock. Both were nicely seasoned, especially the pork - which was extremely tended. Our waitresses were both professional and humorous. They looked after us well. The wines were good as was the Espresso. At 44.95€ this was one of the best values we had in this touristy area. We enthusiastically recommend the Krone.

We had a very pleasant evening in this typical German restaurant. The food was good although not very refined but it is a real good value if you want to eat typical German food. The waiters were very professional and they served us excellent wine. We would go back again without hesitation!

Had lunch here during the wine festival and if you are looking for good local food, this place is it. Not cheap lah. The mushrooms were in season so I opted for that, family had Zander and meat filet. All very good. However.. Local food uses a lot of butter and salt. I can therefore recommend the walnut digestif afterwards. And if you can, climb the Schlossberg behind.

We staid at the Krone hotel for a Weekend Tour to the Kayserstuhl for wine shopping (Dr. Heger, Franz Keller, etc). The hotel is quite ok, a bit old fashioned German style, but for a fair value. The restaurant was ok, we had expected especially a better service. The staff was not very focused on serving our 4 course seasonal menue (which was also just ok) or keeping our glasses filled. The wine selection is very poor for a restaurant in a wine area. Not recommendable for a romantic weekend, but a solid and affordable base for exploring the Kayserstuhl area.

We had dinner at Restaurant Krone, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding evenings that we had recently. Food was excellent and worth every penny. Service was equally flawless. And the atmosphere in this restaurant was authentic, calm, just the way we like it. If you travel in this region and if you want to enjoy good local food and excellent wine, this is the place for you.

The suede carpaccio was good but it could have been served without white sauce on it. A drizzle of olive oil would have sufficed

Already for the fourth time we were at the Achkarrer Schloßbergtafel. Unfortunately due to weather this time in the restaurant and not in the vines. Nevertheless, it was another successful evening with a great menu and matching wines. Many thanks to the kitchen team for the delicious food and to the service team for the great and always friendly all-round care 🤗 we are very happy to come to you
