Had Sunday Lunch at the Lion & Lamb and have to say i wasn't overall impressed. They had run out of one of the 5 offered starters by 13:00 despite serving till 19:00. When the pate and the crabcakes came they were disappointingly small. The pate itself was bland but the apple chutney was subtly spiced with a good harp... More

Well first time visitor and I have say what great burgers they are. Ultimate chicken burger and sweet potato fries were delivered quickly and tasted fabulous.

The Lion and Lamb is quite a pleasant building with a traditional interior. There's a reasonable selection of beer including craft ale and craft lager. The staff didn't seem very friendly or chatty - and worse, they're inflexible. First, my friend wasn't very hungry and wanted a fairly plain chicken dish. The chicken nuggets on the kids menu sounded ideal.... More

Not busy but slow service, offered us a pudding menu but didn't come back and take an order. Very average food with little extras at above average price.

Have visited the pub for both lunch and dinner, having only recently discovered it. The food and service is excellent, quality produce is obviously used and the owners are there to make you feel welcome.

I've often been to this pub just for drinks or Friday pub lunch but I've now been enjoying the breakfast too on weekends. Very good quality bacon and sausages, cooked to perfection, great value for money. It's now my favourite and regular place for a fry up. I can just about finish the big one.

Everyone I have known says the same thing about this place.. The owner is nice but the staff are rude and abusive.. The food was "OK" and it has a good play area but with the attitude of the bar staff it doesn't deserve the business.

I came to this pub for lunch on 31st December, with a friend around 1.30pm, the pub was quiet. I ordered the ultimate burger which cost £11.50 and my friend ordered the chicken burger. The bar man was very friendly and the food didn't take long to arrive. Good service. I can honestly say it's one of the best burgers... More
