We stopped at the Visitor Centre which is well worth going to and then went upstairs to the cafe. The cakes were to die for and the plum cake is highly recommended. My husband had a panini with a beautiful salad. The views are lovely...and the staff so pleasant and helpful. The whole place is an unexpected haven in the middle of the National Park and we would definitely visit again if in the area.More

Three of us had coffee and delicious cakes (baked by the owners) in this lovely cafe. The outdoor area has beautiful views and is dog friendly. The Ballycroy visitors centre is very special.

Food was delicious, staff was super friendly, & views were good. The raspberry chocolate cake with a side of cream was lovely. My husband had the cranberry brie & bacon sandwich which he said was delicious. I had homemade vegetable soup & yummy brown bread....A great place to stop on a day trip out of Westport!More

This place is a hidden gem.Loved it so much. It was exciting to eat their food. You can taste the fresh vegetables in their soup , it was so delicious. The terrine and chutney was simply delicious and as for the Rhubarb and Cinnamon cheesecake...again gorgeously delicious . We met the owners who are so welcoming and lovely. The place is spotless, the views are amazing Delighted we took the turn for Ballycroy Visitor Centre - which also has lovely friendly staff and we will definitely be back.More

This is a must try lunch stop. The chef is French and you can taste it in the meals and desserts. Not a large selection but everything we had was great. About 10 to 15€ for main items. They can get bus tours in so...expect a wait if you are behind them. Good wifi also. The visitor center is free and worth some time. There is also a short walk with a great view on clear days.More

Visited here quite late, around 4.30pm, but thankfully they open until 5pm. I had a delightful plum cake and a latte. The staff were very kind and the area was spotlessly clean. The lunch menu looks great, I hope to visit another time to try...that!More

This cafe is actually in Ballycroy National Park, just beyond Mulranny - not in Westport. So you can combine an interesting walk in a beautiful setting and finish with delicious food in Ginger and Wild. All their cakes are homemade and you can taste the...difference. It's hard to select favourites but their bakewell with a sliced plum base as well as their orange cake with chocolate icing, maybe also their cheesecake - in fact, any cake!More

Thank you Nicola and Jean Pierre ! We visited Ballycroy National Park today as a school group and what a delight to discover the Ginger and Wild café ! I am just blown away by the absolute fabulous food. Grown organically from fresh , cooked...and presented in the most fabulous way. Everyone should visit this cafe. The soup, the panini's, the quiche, the scones and the cakes .......... all cooked/baked by PJ , are a delight to behold. The tea itself was just beautiful. I will be back with friends and family and will recommend to anyone travelling the Bangor to Westport road to stop in and visit. The ambience, the views and most of all the food will not disappoint. Nicola and Jean Pierre are the most pleasant hosts and the food served is an absolute credit to them.More
