Visited for Sunday lunch - lovely meal. I had veggie options but my friends had the roast beef and we all enjoyed our meals. Beautiful spot and interior is beautiful, plus there was a lovely open fire. Service was a little slow but they were full at the time we were there.

We had a lovely lunch here in the summer, sitting under an awning in the garden, we were back last night for an evening meal (Fish Night). We had a delicate crab and saffron pie for starters, a generous portion but not overwhelming, just right for a starter. We had paella for a main - generous selection of seafood in... More

Inspired by the generally good reviews for this pub my wife and I walked the mile or so from our canal boat, anticipating a great meal. First impressions were that the place seemed quaint and friendly. Then the problems started. First the menu with a very small range. I went for the venison burger @ £15 and my wife for... More

Once more the Oxford Arms has been the perfect place to meet friends for lunch. Consistently good: food was excellent and charming staff. There is nothing pretentious about this establishment; a traditional pub with scrubbed flag stone floors, an excellent choice of wines and beers and seasonable fresh produce. Highly recommend but don't tell too many people!!

We met with friends, halfway journeys to catch up on our lives, the Oxford Arms met the brief with a friendly welcome a comfy leather couch to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and time to catch up before ordering. The daily special board, for both starters and main courses made the choice difficult, pate or fish cakes. Pate... More

We had another great meal at The Oxford Arms this week. We live a few miles away and we're "regulars" because it's so good. This week we sat in the garden with friends and all four of us really enjoyed our lunch. Stand-out dishes were an excellent Gazpacho, delicious spicy lamb burger with world-beating triple-cooked chips, treacle tart with clotted... More

It's not often I write reviews on TripAdvisor but I'm compelled to pass on my comments after having one of the best pub food experience in a very long time! The Oxford Arms is actually more than just a pub, it is a place which offers excellent London restaurant standard food in peaceful and tranquil surroundings. We were lucky enough... More

An old fashioned pub in an Oxfordshire village – full of charm and ambience – with friendly staff and an excellent range of good food – and ales - never disappointed on my visits – will be back soon.

We went for a light lunch. I find more and more restaurant pubs have stopped offering traditional pub lunch food and suggest one choses from the starter section of their a la carte section. We'd already walked out of another pub nearby as the choice was too haute cuisine and expensive. We each managed to ferret out something here -... More
