We tried this pub restaurant after a very disappointing meal the night before in another pub nearby and our faith in local food was restored. Excellent choice, tasty food served by very nice staff. Good ambiance and speedy service. We will be back!

Every time I go to the Jug and Glass it hits the nail on the head: the food is good; the drink selection varied and well kept; the ambience is that of a pleasant, village pub, and the locals, landlord and staff very friendly in...More

This is a proper English Village Pub. With a good choice of real ale, home cooked food with staff that care about delivering a good customer experience. It is small and a little strange in layout, something to do with it dating to 1789. If...More

Planned lunch for 12 persons on a lovely autumn walk. We had pre-ordered our food from an extensive menu. The landlord suggested we had a front room to ourselves which also had access to the bar. We were a little early so we bought some...More

Friendly staff and clean if basic accommodation. Breakfast fine. Other guests showed little consideration for residents in neighbouring rooms, and were very loud and raucous late at night, which spoilt the stay.
