Had a great evening at The Six Bells. A couple of pints of West Berkshire brewery's superb Good Old Boy, followed by some excellent food in the conservatory. On the night the pub had some Morris Dancers performing outside that helped created a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. It was so nice to see many local youngsters joining in and... More

Popped in for dinner on a Thursday evening, food is from 18:45 which is an odd time but hey ho. Plenty of room for parking, entrance off the car park into the lounge area with a conservatory off set up for dining in tables of 2 and 4s. Nice lounge, comfy leather sofas and in the cooler seasons, sat round... More

This is a local pub to us - and tried a few years ago for a lunchtime spot to eat - but a member of staff came out of pub to our car to explain children weren't allowed in main restaurant....not impressed. Pubs change so we gave it another go with slightly older children (not babies but early teenagers) -... More

Great staff, fantastic menu, pie was the best I have tasted. No need for 70s decoration on the plate and only let down was gravy. Having said that I will be returning to try another of your mouth watering dishes.

Lovely pub, quaint but filled with lots of qwerky things to look at quite distracting really but a lovely atmosphere. The conservatory was filled as was most of the restaurant which is always a good sign of good food!

This is a lovely pub in a quiet Berkshire village and offers high standards in food and drink. The food offered is standard pub grub and is not trying to be something that it's not, which is a refreshing change. The homemade pie is the best on the menu and the portion is a good size. The menu is varied... More

We were a party of six and had booked a table for a Saturday evening - apart from us the place was fairly quiet which I think must be a seasonal thing as it is a little out of the way and we have been previously in the summer when the conservatory has been full. The food was fantastic -... More

We visited The Six Bells on a Saturday night in a small group, looking for something new during "Dry January". The pub/restaurant has a homely feel with an interesting mix of wall decorations, from Africa to Asia. The menu includes British pub classics, as well as some Asian influences. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the service and the surroundings, especially the... More
