Don’t be fooled by pictures of seemingly small dishes. The tasting menu of 4 is plenty! The food really merits a Michelin star, surprised he doesn’t have one. Good service, pays attention to details.

Excellent and reasonably priced gastronomy. Unlike many other gastronomic restaurants, Jan Verhelst proves in each dish that 1+1=3. Most, if not all ingredients have an added value!

I did not know the restaurant but it was a very pleasant acquiantance. We chose the 6 course menu with selected wines. We enjoyed a very nice diner with a very good and creative choice of wines. A very nice Riesling! Each course was delicious...and very nice presented. Really, worth going there if you like fine cuisine with creative combinations and rather unknown ingredients. Our waiter was friendly, correct and funny. Very relax atmosphere. The chef came to say hello which is always pleasant. We saw there is also a beautiful terrace. Probably very pleasant in summer time. Definetely a place to go back!More

This was our third visit and again we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the dishes and the very creative asian inspired food. We took the excellent value all in Discovery menu for lunch. The wines are high quality and served generously. This...is one of our favorite restaurants in the area of Ghent.More

A unique experience with no obvious menu card, simply an overview of the flavors and ingredients that would be used. Jan is a great host and very generous with wine suggestions and explanations for the courses. we ate delightfully and had a wonderful evening. My...only worry is that more people find it and we cant get a table in the future!More

The food in this restaurant is excellent. The menu does not offer you to choose plates, but lists a number of tastes/ingredients. Each plate brings a sequence of these tastes, which only the best chefs can realise. The accompaning wines are very good. The service...is one of the best we had so far. The only downside is the interior which did not match the quality of the food.More

No Caroline this time so we had the honour to be served by the chef himself. Only 2 tables at the lunch service so we were served smooth, fast and personal. We had chosen for the "small" 3 course menu but that was plenty for...our lunch. We asked for some small changes in the wines which were made without any extra charge. We even had the good fortune to be served a fantastic Zinfandel as part of the menu. All in all, a great experience (as usual) in one of the best retaurants in the region of GentMore

I used this title already for a hotel review. This title fits this restaurant for sure. It is breaking down a lot of traditional perceptiosn we have about how a Michelin restaurant shoudl be. The outside of the restaurant does not unveal the type of...place this is. We would not be tempted to enter by just passing by. However, what is behind the red walls is worth any penny. The personnel is not dressed in the typical traditional style but rather shows a relaxed attitude. This is constantly emphasized in the way food and wine is presented. It is the perfect balance between being formal; being personnal without being to amical. Perfect balance to feel at home . The food itself is perfect and wine choices are in right balance with the selected food. This deserves a good reference.More
