Really beautifully and tastefully refurbed, love the giant map! Great compromise between traditional and modern. The food was perfect, every item on the menu was a strong option, and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Brilliant value for money too.

But there's nothing so lonesome, so morbid or drear Than to stand in a bar, of a pub with no beer Now the publicans anxious, for the quota to come There's a faraway look, on the face of the bum The maids gone all cranky...More

A few miles outside Forfar, homely feel in the bar area. The main restaurant is well decorated, modern. Good range range of menu and varied wine list, if you want something a bit different for a night out, this is the place to go.

Only a guess, but most restaurants would let you choose what you like from any menu in the bar, but in the restaurant, it's likely only to be the a la carte menu available, given the much more luxurious surroundings.

The Drovers Inn is an intriguing pub and restaurant offering both a traditional Scottish inn atmosphere and contemporary fine dining. Situated midway between Forfar and Kirriemuir,in the little village of Memus.Enjoy a hearty meal and a well earned ale by the fire in our traditional Scottish pub after a days walking in the Angus Glens or savour a superb meal in our elegant, stylish sixty seat restaurant. In summer our guests also enjoy the outdoor dining area under the trees while their children romp in the large open air play area. Our menu features modern Scottish cuisine at its very best, using herbs from our own garden and quality, locally sourced seasonal produce. The exceptional food is complemented by an extensive wine list and large selection of whiskies and cognacs to complete the experience.
