This is one of our favourite cafes in the state. We come as often as we can. Very family friendly with a toy box and colouring things, plus an outdoor enclosed play area, a big lawn with footballs supplied and a lakeside walk. You can sit inside or out. There's a wood fire in the main dining room In winter.... More

Even at lunch time it's cold inside. Then when staff have to open sliding doors to go to other parts of the restaurant the cold air floods in. This place is also a bit out of my demographic. Probably better suited to Nannas with their grandchildren. Having said that the deserts are nice and the service was efficient.

What a wonderful place! I wanted a coffee, I had no idea that it was a raspberry coffee and it was AMAZING! As was the raspberry pavlova, the scones with raspberry, the chocolate coated raspberries and the raspberry tea! I will recommend this place so highly and will visit each and every time I come to Tasmania! P.S I don't... More

Its overrated. Not as pleasant as what I think. The services aren't as good as expected. The food are okay. Maybe due to flooding earlier, the waters are kind of yellowish. I find the raspberry are bit too sour. But the ice cream really tasty. If you want a special desserts, Christmas hills raspberry farm are good place to be.

Had a wonderful lunch here, a cheese tart with roasted vegetables, it was well presented and with a hot chocolate it hit the right spot on a cold Tasmanian day

A day out with a stop at the raspberry farm, eating raspberries and ice team was lovely. It was very busy this day and the staff were attentive and informative. It was cold even though the wood fire was on, due to the automatic door opening and closing when people were coming in and out. The food was yummy and... More

Brilliant place for brekky, lunch, &/or coffee & cake. Breakfast is good - with traditional and surprise options served. Lunch menu always good too. Currently soup & dessert for $12 is a tasty bargain. Coffee, muffins and ice cream delectable too. Very friendly for all ages - from 0-100. Lots of parking, and the football goals and lake walk offer... More

Came for afternoon tea and was greeted by a lovely big fire, which was appreciated on cold day. The food was good, but did not find the staff very friendly.

Thank Pam S
