We had a super light lunch here en route from Venice to Alta Badia via Cortina. It is virtually the last building on the right just at the end of the town with a good car park that is easy to pull in to and has a good view both ways for leaving. We were welcomed most warmly into a... More

Spotted at the side of the road we were not expecting much but we were delighted on entering to find a lovely characteristic restaurant with welcoming staff. A good choice of menu plus a variety of specialities. We were given a free taste of polenta with baccala - delicious - whilst waiting for our first course. A nice basket of... More

We were looking for a restaurant to have lunch and happen to stumble on this place on accident. We went in and asked if they were still opened. They said they were. We were happy because everything was closed for lunch. We sat outside in the back. Stunning views of the mountains. Really amazing actually. My husband asked for the... More

Fabulous pasta dishes. Meat dishes were heavy and dry. If you rent a house in the area, the chef will come cook for you at your house and you can discuss the menu. That was outstanding!

Amazing restaurant with amazing food. You'll have the option of choosing either the dishes by yourself or you can choose preset menus from the kitchen/staff. We hade the Chefs' menu with a wine package of 3 wines. Really good and there were definitely some exiting dishes. The atmosphere i amazing as well, it's a 200 year old post house and... More

Nothing but wonderful things to say about Al Capriolo. The interior of the restaurant is lovely - tastefully decorated and with well spaced tables. We selected the Surprise Menu, which was truly Michelin star quality. The chef even made us an extra dish (although at that point we were so stuffed we actually felt it was unnecessary!). The menu was... More

High expectations came down like an avalanche. One star must have been given for some other service than the one given to us. The food was ok. I was a bit unlucky with the deer.

This is an exceptional restaurant that succeeds in combining the highest quality cuisine with moderate prices. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, the service is attentive and warm without being stuffy and the location is convenient. There is no better place to sample the best of the Cadore culinary tradition. The fact that this is a truly family run... More
