But please, while in all the other pubs that we tried at 6 o'clock we ate quietly, here the cook still had to arrive, they open at 5 pm, and finally, I ordered the Bogside Lager and the waiter verified that there was! You pay...immediately, which I always find very annoying. We left after drinking, we had dinner elsewhere!More

The Bogside Inn is a cool Irish pub my twin brother Stephen and I love to visit on any holiday we take to Vienna. I love the look of this pub,its got a proper lived in look that's just so cosy,a dark lit pub, eclectic decor...and furnishings including all the Irish bric a brac adorning the walls and ceilings you would expect to find in a good Irish pub and a great looking serving bar plus theres plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around The Bogside Inn. We were here on a Tuesday late evening ,this pub was just starting to get busy with a great atmosphere, after a quick study of the beers on offer we both opted to have O'Hara's " pale ale " these were served in excellent condition, we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My pale ale was absolutely delicious, a rich, full bodied pale ale, very crisp and refreshing, it's a beer style I totally enjoy. These are the type of pubs that bring me back to Vienna year after year, proper cosy pubs serving great beers. We really enjoyed our pale ales in here before we moved on and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each, this time we chose a lighter Austrian beer and went for murauer bier, once again we were served a great beer,a lovely crisp lager style beer which we really enjoyed. The Bogside Inn is easy to locate on Landesgerichtstrasse. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 5pm till 2am. Friday,5pm till 4am . Saturday, 6pm till 4am. Sunday, 5pm till 1am. A superb pub,if your in the area well worth checking out especially if you enjoy cosy Irish pubs.More

Stop here for a few drinks and food. It was around 9:30pm and there was food menus on the table so we inquired if it was still possible to get food and a very pleasant female staff member replied of course and she would cook...the food for us. Food was fine and services quick. Good value alsoMore

we popped in for a drink early new years eve, and ended up staying the whole night missing the square new years party :O lo the staff were very friendly, nicholas and elizabeth went out of their way to make us english tea and food...after the kitchen had closed, and even mixed us up drinks they had never heard of before, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, then and on the night before we left vienna.. highly recommended if you like the traditional irish pub theme and a touch of rock music in the back groundMore

Mrs Boglet and I were looking for a place to unwind having already had a drink in one of the modern bars that have no character, we almost passed this place by. You could walk by without noticing if in a hurry. Being from the...UK I normally try to avoid the cliche of an English or Irish style bar (we have enough of them in the UK of course). I'm really pleased we decided to try this little gem. The bar staff were particularly friendly, spoke good English and made us feel really welcome. If you want good friendly service with a good range of drinks then look no further than The Bogside Inn - I couldn't recommend it more.More

Very quaint and quirky little pub. We visited a few times during our stay in Vienna. They served a large variety of drinks and cocktails. Food could be ordered up until 11.45pm and if hungry then after they were still happy to get you a...grilled cheese sandwich. Nice friendly staff. Felt very welcome!More

We came here for a few quiet drinks, and we weren't disappointed. Typical pub style which was great, and as a young English couple, we felt really welcome. Would definitely return when next in Vienna.

Having arrived to our hotel at 9pm decided to venture out and find a place for a few beers. Having followed google maps to what seemed the closest bar to us was disappointed to find it closed. Having walked a little further down the street...saw the unmistakable Kilkenny sign and knew we had found an irish bar. However having consulted google maps, the place is not shown?? On entering we were immediately hit with mass of smoke. The bar is quite small, 3 quarters full with a mixed crowd (mostly looked locals) and everyone inside seemed to be smoking (including the bar maid). Normally we would turn straight around but we were gasping for a pint. Only after 20 minutes, when I went to go to the toilet found out they have a back room for non smokers. We immediately moved there. Unfortunately that room had zero atmosphere but was at least smoke free. Good little bar but would not recommend if you are not a smoker.More

We had a small celebration here with a few friends and we were very pleased with the atmosphere of this pub. The food was ok, the waitresses were nice and fast. All in all I enjoyed my stay here, will definitely visit again.
