Loved the food!

Loved the food here and really nice, quiet location across from the Sheraton. Honestly we had been a little disappointed with the food we'd had in Croatia up till this place. But Ruzmarin changed that around completely and we'd definitely return. We started with the fish soup and a mixed seafood appetizer. The soup was a simple broth with the local sea bass (branzino) added in and was delicate and delicious. The appetizer combo was sardines, octopus salad, and seared tuna. While the menu offers it for 2 people they will make a half-order for 1. We started with the half order but it was so good we asked for the other half. All 3 items were great but the Octopus salad was the star of the show. The grilled seabass entree was also very good with my choice to have a chicken teriyaki vegetable bowl being the worst choice (I know, what was I thinking but it was the end of the trip and we had tried so many poor variations of the "local" meals I just went for something really different). Our waiter was friendly with the only minor complaint being the wait. When this place gets busy it can take a bit for the food. But it was well worth it and we left very happy.

Two chances, both winners!

I've had the pleasure of dinning twice in the evening at Ruzmarin: The first was a business meeting; the second social. I enjoyed the first experience sufficiently to come back for a second supper. zbigi13 enjoyed the seafood plate for two, I elected to try the meat platter for two persons. The amount of food was more than sufficient for two. I was especially impressed by the lamb and the chicken; the best examples of those that I'd had the pleasure of enjoying ever, anywhere! Given the quantity and quality of the food, the price was exceptionally reasonable. I can also recommend the "house red" wine.

Last meal in Croatia was perfect

After a 10-day vacation in Croatia, we were a bit apprehensive to dine in a “close to the hotel” restaurant, especially after the fabulous meals we had during our trip. Not to worry…our meal rivaled any we experienced from Split to Dubrovnik. Our final grilled fish/seafood platter was delicious, and the chef even deboned our Orata for us. Very nice wine list. Wonderful service!

Unpleasantly surprised

We didn’t receive our food after one hour of waiting for it. We came to this restaurant for lunch, ordered our drinks and food, after they brought our drinks, it seems like they forgot about us completely. The waiter was serving other tables meanwhile we were just sitting there waiting. Furthermore there were not a lot of clients. When people who were seated after us were already finishing their lunch, we still didn’t even get our salads. When we called the waiter and told him that we’re still waiting for our food, he just smiled and laughed and said dry « sorry ». After that we were done, we asked for our bill, payed for our drinks and left. We were hoping for a good experience, but sadly we left in frustration.

If you are near to Župa Dubrovačka, be sure to visit the restaurant Ruzmarin. Very tasty food, staff and owner very friendly and affordable. Prices are also very affordable and most importantly, you can eat yourself. (And you'll still have food left) 😊

This restaurant is perfect to come hungry 😇 Because food is soo good, delicious. You can come alone, with friends, family or with your girlfriend/boyfriend. It doesn’t matter, because you have friendly waiters, they will make sure you have a great time! 🤗 At all, excellent place to eat and have a great time!

We ate here twice during our stay at the Sheraton hotel opposite. This restaurant was lovely as were the staff. Loved the food choices and portion sizes. Great outdoor seating, plenty of space and good COVID-19 safety measures in place. I would recommend the Cevapcici and caprese salad, both delicious. We also loved the freshly baked bread placed on the table before each meal!

First night of our holiday and might have peaked too soon! We are staying at the Sheraton which is literally across the road. Our waiter, and all the other staff we had interaction with, was so attentive and friendly. On top of that we could not fault our food! We had the meat and cheese platter to start - a selection of cured meats, salami, cheese, olives and rocket/tomatoes. For mains my husband had beefsteak (think it was a fillet steak) with Jack Daniels sauce and I had strips of rump and fillet steak with potatoes with a Demi sauce. Both dishes were delicious and good size portions. Just a shame we had no room for desert! We really enjoyed our dinner and highly recommend this restaurant.

Don't usually write reviews, but I need to do for this restaurant. Portion are more than enough and we have been there almost every day during our stay at Sheraton. Fresh fish is the best around and meat platter is definitely for more than two persons. Service was great, they are always smiling and they explain everything in detail. So if you are near Srebreno go to Ruzmarin and make sure that value for money is probably the best in dubrovnik and srebreno.

I had high hopes for this restaurant as it looked very nice and had a great menu. The servings were way too big and the food was a huge disappointment. My husband ordered the mussels which could probably feed 3 people, but not very tasty. I ordered the beef checks which were just okay. I wouldn’t go back.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. Perfectly located across the street from The Sheraton. They have a really nice patio and the ambience is pleasant. The service was good at the beginning- but did get pretty slow as the restaurant got busier and it was hard to get a server’s attention. The food was very tasty and the portions were very good for the meal received. Overall a good experience.

Went to the place two days in a row as it’s directly opposite Sheraton. Fish is good, also daily recommendation available. Don’t be shy to ask the waiters. They also recommend local wine and are knowledgeable about its grapes and production. That’s good but decent service. Fish (sea bass) was excellent, and also the Ruzmarin salad was great if you like healthy food! Don’t miss the cherry digestive!

Overpriced and mediocre

Me and my boyfriend both had pepsi, carpazzio as starters and beef steak as the main course. Carpazzio was not good but ok. The steak was very disappointing. Very small amount of sauce that tasted like from a package, very basic vegetables and the beef itself was bland and extremely raw! We asked for medium raw and we got something called blue which is even more raw than the classification of raw. We heard the couple next to us complain about the same thing so it was not a fluke. That chef clearly doesnt know how to cook meat! We only managed a couple of bites. Yes we could have said something but we were just over it by then because it was so mediocre, it was as a whole like something I could have cooked myself and the reason why I gave one star is because this place was very expensive. 100 euros/96 dollars total for this. You expect a good meal for that amount not mediocre.

Powered mashed potatoes and a surprise in the meat - no thank you

Since the evening weather was suppose to be rainy we decided to go to the restaurant across the street from our hotel. It was a Monday evening around 19.30. How we rate our food: ✔️ great 〰️ can improve / not as described / disliked ➗ bad H 🍽️ Beef Cheeks (the house specialty) with mashed potato ➗H found the beef to be too fatty and while it fell apart as it should, it wasn't seasoned well enough. Usually the mashed potatoes brings the bland taste to be upped by the beef and the gravy, but when the beef is also bland, it's only the gravy that works towards that goal. When H found a piece of plastic in his meat we ate no more. Z 🍽️ Beef Cheeks (the house specialty) with julienne vegetables 〰️ After taking Z's allergy list to the kitchen they recommended vegetable instead of the mashed potatoes. Mash normally consists of potato, butter and maybe milk which are no problem. When pressed about the matter the waiter said the mash was powered, which didn't seem a very good reason. The vegetables was nice, the meat was very fatty and the amount of gravy could have been better (more please). Our meal was accompanied by still and sparkling water respectfully. The service fine up on till H found a piece of plastic in his meat. The waiter took the plate with the plastic to the kitchen. He did not apologise and when he came back (after tending to other guests) he said that the plastic piece was a normal find in the meat. ⭐️ the food was mediocre at best - without the plastic, service was fine until there was a problem.

We passed by this place several times but visited on our 2nd last night, mistake. Had we went earlier in our holiday we could have went again. The food was very good and the servers were all attentive. I had the scampi with linguine. They even put a bib on you to stop the mess😂 when cracking the very large prawns open. Will have to wait until we come again to visit, but it will early in the holiday.
