Nice place to sit outside in the sun (if you can ignore the traffic going past). No complaints from the many breakfasts there. Good food for a fair price.

Like I said above! No complaints here.. great venue, great prices, inside or outside dining, takeaway if you prefer. Lovely staff. Definately a place to stop for a meal while in essendon. Walking distance to trams as well.

Good fresh food nothing too much trouble for these guys. Great for a bite if solo and don't need to bother cooking. I had schnitzel 2 eggs and chips with a fresh salad. $23.90. Just like I cooked it myself.

Whilst we've so far only been to Max's Corner for morning or afternoon tea with friends who live in the locality, the table service has always been quick and friendly, the menu (both printed and the dessert selection in the glass cabinet) provides a good wide choice for everyone. Recommended is the warm apple crumble with a side of vanilla... More

16 of us turned up unannounced for breakfast and the service we received was second to none. This restaurant was one proficient we'll run operation. Our meals were served quickly! and all together3. The blonde lady that served us was fantastic and cheerful. The food topped it off! Well done Team Max's Corner!

Have been to this place several times and always liked the good service and the excellent food. My wife and I ate here last night, one of the few cafe/restaurants open in the area. Again the service was really good and the food we ordered was really good.

Every time I go past this place it is busy, so decided to try dinner. We ordered a veal scaloppine, which was bland, and chicken parmigiana, which had no ham. The chips were the highlight of the meal. While the service was very well done by the guys, the food is not worth the price.

Max's has been in Essendon North for so long I don't know anyone who hasn't been there. Over the past few years however they have improved it tremendously. Good menu selections, improved outdoor dining protection, good heating in winter, etc etc. For either a snack or a full on dinner they have got it all together. And it is licensed... More
