Just had a lovely Christmas lunch - good food, good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Appalling hostile atmosphere and was asked to leave as the locals might attack me. Barman even took my pint instead of dealing with the drunks.

This is a very friendly pub that serves excellent beers and has very welcoming staff. The pub has its own car park. I will definitely return. On the 216 bus route.

I have used the Ash Tree for at least ten years. Always a good pub for watching sport. Several screens, and so you would get rugby on couple screens and horse racing on a Saturday on others. Or football and rugby, really whatever the customer...More

Barmaid marnie was nice and chatty. Beer was pretty good as well. Nice welcome and was suggested a pint of London pride. I don't usually drink ale but based on the young girls suggestion, it was a pleasant change.More

Stopped off here as our daughter was delayed arriving from the airport. It's a proper pub! Not smart or trendy but comfortable sofas, newspapers to read, very good coffee, lovely friendly staff who brought a drink of water for the dog - unasked. Friendly locals...More

Tried this pub for a change, they had a separate restaurant area, staff were really helpful and courteous and the food was served generously and tasted great. Not the prettiest pub but well recommended for a visit, easy parking.W

I've been using the Ash for nigh on 20 years. Fair enough it's got a chequered past but the last few years, and an enterprising landlord / landlady, have seen it's fortunes change significantly for the better. We now have a local to be proud...More
