This is a great place to eat. Get that old hamburger feeling, The murals inside are great lots of little details. They also have tables outside and hidden under the trees. The burgers are very good. I had the Duke with bacon, onion rings. and nice size patty. French fries were hot and crisp.

I thought I was in for a treat when I noticed the place was packed but was let down. Friendly service but long wait which I wouldn't have minded if it was worth the wait and price, which I thought was very high, almost $7.00 for a regular burger and up from there. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait or... More

The hours a limited but don't let that stop you! The burgers are great (served on a brioche bun) and milk shakes are memorable!

Ok, let's get this out of the way. A "long wait," for your order, does not automatically guarantee "great food." Furthermore, greeting your customers as they step up to place an order with a, "it's gonna be at least an hour wait," is not good for business. Let's get this out of the way too, they are not (In n... More

Thought we'd try this place for lunch, but when we saw location and condition we weren't surprised to see it had closed down. Hopefully the traveller's guide books will remove from their list of places to eat as the write up for the food was ok for the price and a quick meal.

Based on TA reviews we were expecting a world class burger. Didn't happen. My quarter pounder was just ok but on a bun reminiscent off a pretzel but which I don't like. Wife's small burger was so loaded with juicy stuff that the bun was soggy. Fries seemed like they were breaded before frying. In a blind taste test I... More

I had the John Wayne burger. It had 1/2 lb. pattie, bacon, mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion rings, & bbq sauce. Was simply delicious. Almost didn't finish it, but I did. My wife had a not so loaded one with fries & onion rings on the side. Absolutely delicious. You gotta try it if ever in Big Bear Lake, California.

My friend and I were looking for a great place to go to get a good hamburger. Unfortunately, this restaurant fell well short of our expectations. The menu pricing was not in line with the product received - too pricey. I tried to get some other cheese other than American (since I don't like American), they did not have any... More

The food is great. It resembles In-n-Out for the mountains. Prices are above average, but the food is worth it!

Stopped here for a quick bite and was glad we did. The burgers are made to order so there was a short wait but it was well worth it. The hours and days open are a bit tricky so make sure you check before you go to make sure they are there. The sweet potato fries were delicious as were... More
