I stopped on a Monday morning looking for coffee and cake. Didn't realise the cafe is only open at the weekend. The host still made me fresh coffee and I got delicious cake. It really was a great start to the day to enjoy the lovely garden and check out the little gallery. So inspiring! Would definitely recommend. The house has a great vibe and there is access to a river right behind the house. Enjoy!

Bed and breakfast that is also a café. Run by sweet couple that put the energy on making the stay feel cozy and welcoming. Homemade breakfast, nicely decorated rooms and areas, very clean and safe. Recommended!

Stopped for lunch and ate a delicious chicken wrap. Followed it up with a lovely plum pie and coffee. Really nice spot for lunch and will definitely be back.

While staying at Kolabyn eco lodge we explored the local area and stopped here for fika (coffee and cake) We were a little unsure as we pulled up but so glad we went in. Warmly welcomed by a kind lady, we sat down in her beautiful little cafe and had the most delicious cake. Highly recommend if you are staying in the Skinnskatteberg area.

Had dinner here on a Wild Sweden tour and it was the best evening of the trip. Delicious food, eclectic atmosphere, and welcoming hosts made for a very relaxed, enjoyable time talking long into the night...

We spent a few weeks in Skolgården and had a great time there. Excellent fika, tasty lunch and amazing home-baked bread are definitely worth a visit. Food often contains fresh produce from their own garden. We are sorry that we missed their Midsummer festival or exotic cooking classes, but we would definitely come again!

I came to Sweden to get a better understanding of a country where I have my roots. My great grandparents grew up in the countryside of Sweden, so I figured to the countryside I must go. When I visited Skolgarden I immediately got the Swedish small town feel I was looking for. There were many local Swedes in the café having fika (sort of a Swedish version of High Tea) when I arrived. I had a delicious slice of rhubarb pie with a smooth and rich dark cup of coffee. I found out that many of the ingredients, such as the rhubarb, in the dishes served came from the owner’s garden just outside the cafe. The food and atmosphere were fantastic! If you want a truly authentic countryside Swedish experience, I recommend visiting Skolgarden.
