We had a delicious dinner here. Allreds is currently offering a three course menu with no a la carte offerings. For first course - Caesar salad, corn soup and a spring berry salad (should have had more than one small quartered strawberry) Entrees- elk, halibut (gnocchi!) and beef tenderloin and all were served with very good sides. Desserts also excellent- Creme Brulle with lots of fresh berries, sticky toffee pudding cake, and a very light cheesecake. Service was very friendly. All staff wore face masks and practiced other preventive measures such as disposable menus and napkins. And not to forget the wonderful views of Telluride and surrounding mountains.

This was our 3rd visit and we are fans. I was a bit worried about the COVID menu since they were asking for reservations with a 24 hour cancellation period. If cancelled within the 24 hours, you were out the $65 per person. It's a special, daily menu at $65 per person. I was pleasantly surprised that the menu had quite a few choices. The halibut and gnocchi were delicious. We watched the sunset shadows roll from the tops of the mountains across the valley. The glistening lights of Telluride below, slowly brightened. Riding the Gondola back to Mountain Village in the dark was a bit eerie.

This meal was of the best I have ever enjoyed! The cuisine was plentiful, with a good selection, and appropriatly modified for my grandchildren as well. The service staff was of the best I have ever seen, and having been in the hospitality and feed service business for over 30 years, we have had the opportunity to dine in many exclusinve locals. I would rate Allread's of the absolute best! Albeit it a pricey meal if you order every offered course as we did, it was worth EVERY PENNY!

We loved this restaurant the last time we were in Telluride and came back with our children so they could have the same great experience. Everything was fantastic! We have traveled to many ski resorts and we all agreed that this is our favorite mountain restaurant ever. The view is phenomenal, the service on point, the food delicious and the western-style decor is second to none. The manager, Mario, is very enjoyable and makes everyone feel special. We can't wait to return!!

This is right off the gondola station. It has outstanding views. They have reduced seating because of COVID, so get a reservation. They do temperature checks of everyone. They have a three course meal with good options. The food was all great. We had the elk and the steak and both were good. The service was great. They have a young adult menu which our teenager enjoyed. The young adult menu had great options and good portions for a great price.

We chose Allred’s to celebrate a friends retirement. Plus it has a beautiful and fantastic location.
The food was excellent but our waiter, upstair and check in hostess all made us feel unwelcome and like we were a bother. In fact as we were leaving the upstair hostess told us to take the stairs instead of the elevator so that the people arriving could us it! Making us feel like, “we have your money now you can leave”! Our waiter was not friendly at all (maybe he was having an off day). I told him that I would like my filet slightly pink, at his recommendation, he said to order it med well which I did....it came back well done! The staff definitely needs a refresher course in customer etiquette!

Our family is in Telluride for a ski vacation. I booked Allred's a few months back as I had eaten there in years past and enjoyed the food and ambience. We reviewed the menu online, felt there would be something for everyone to enjoy, and looked forward to dinner. Two days before our reservation, a restaurant representative left a message on my cell phone stating we would be unable to order off the menu, our only option would be a prix fixe menu at $98 per person, including adults and children over 12 years old. This was unacceptable for many reasons. Our 14 year old doesn't eat multiple courses and we don't always choose dessert after a large meal. With prix fixe, we would be forced to order multiple courses and dessert for everyone. I was able to cancel the reservation but was frustrated to miss the spectacular views the property offers. I'm not sure why they would force this change on us at the last minute. Additionally, to add to the negative experience, the representative mentioned we would have a two-hour time limit to complete the meal! Please be aware of these conditions before selecting Allred's.

Jessica was friendly and attentive. View amazing. Caesar salad and beet salad were thankfully smaller than last year. Elk tenderloin with all veges was tender and flavorful. Bison ribeye was too much and not as good as last year's wagyu. Berry cobbler ala mode ok. Be back next year.

Large group of us had dinner reservations over the weekend. Our table was not ready when we arrived so we grabbed some drinks in the bar. Both the bartender and the server working the area seemed annoyed that we didn’t know who to order from. Both super crabby but the cocktails we great. We had to bug the hostess for an updated seating time as when we looked at the clock, it was a good 20 minutes after our reservation time with no updates. The dining room food was enjoyable. Great wine recommendations and super fun and cool wine decanters. I’d say nearly all 8 of us enjoyed our meals and wine. Service in the dining room was better than average but not outstanding aside from the sommelier. It’s a cool spot and fun to take the gondola to/from dinner.

We ate here on a Saturday night and started out at the bar. We were glad we did. The timing was perfect as the full moon was rising over the mountains and the bar was overlooking the mountain range. It was a beautiful view and everyone was taking photos. We moved on to the dining room which is very large. There were some large parties but we had a great table by the window and it was pretty quiet.
We shared the crab cake appetizer and it was the real deal — lumps of crab meat. My wife had the pasta dinner which was really tasty and I had the tuna. The tuna was of top quality and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend this dish if you go. The wine list is overpriced but I found a good bottle that was pretty reasonable.
Allred’s is definitely a dining experience. The venue and the food add up to a great evening. On top of this is Mario. Mario is the manager of the restaurant and is a delight. He is welcoming and has a great sense of humor. He adds to the dining experience. I would highly recommend. Prices are on the high side but they deliver on the experience.

My husband and I went to Allred's to celebrate my milestone birthday at what we hoped would be an exceptional restaurant. We should have heeded the poor 2023 reviews but thought, oh well, how bad can it be? It certainly lived down to the recent reviews.
As of June, the 3-course prix fixe price has gone up to $98 per person. For our first course, my husband ordered the corn bisque, which he said was average. I got the octopus, which was very tasty although not as tender as it could have been. But our second courses were terrible! My husband's "surf & turf" (filet mignon and scallops) showed up with no scallops. The waiter whisked the plate back to the kitchen and it came back with added scallops, but his medium-rare steak was medium-well and dry. I ordered the halibut, which was so overcooked that the manager was embarrassed when he saw it. I couldn't eat it. The manager had our dinners comped and we only paid for our wine, thank heaven. When the desserts came, my creme brulee was very good and my husband's sticky toffee pudding was stale and gummy. Wow.
Another reviewer said, come for the view, not the food. Well, you can see the same view for free if you get off the gondola in the opposite direction.

We truly enjoyed Allred’s! The restaurant is located on the mountain at the St. Sophia Station. Weather is never an issue so long as the gondola is running. We arrived a little early and they sat us at a nice window table as requested. The views are fantastic.
Service provided by Casey was friendly, helpful, flexible, and attentive. The menu is a 3-course fixed price. You can either do an appetizer, salad, entrée, or a salad, entrée, and dessert. We did each of those options. Highlights we recommend were the Caesar salad (very fresh), steamed mussels, Bison Ribeye (upgrade charge), and the Rhubarb Cobbler. The tuna entrée was also good, but way too spicy for my wife. She had to cut the outside layers off to enjoy. Prices were very reasonable, especially for such a nice restaurant in Telluride.

Me and my family went to Allreds for dinner and dessert, but it wasn't as good as we remember. the service was good and our waiter was very polite, but the food and the prefix menu really wasn't great. for starters, the prefix menu felt more like a menu to get you to spend more, and the food on that menu sounded good, but it wasn't executed to the level that the prices demand. The filet mignon I ordered was supposed to be medium, but instead I got well, And my daughter, who also ordered the same as me, was given well too. the filet mignon didn't have much flavor to it and was very dry, and if there was any seasoning, it wasn't much, My wife got the elk and she described it as bland and unimpressive. Lastly, to top it off, their dessert menu was small and the choices seemed very random and limited. There was only 4-5 things on the dessert menu, and there was far more dessert-drinks. the menu was simply lacking the classic dessert items you'll see in pretty much every restaurant: (ice cream, cookies, cupcakes, brownies, etc) The desserts were ok for the most part, although they were a bit unusual. Overall, the staff was fine but the food simply wasn't good nor worth the price

Our family of 4 (all adults) decided to make Allred’s our one fancy night out while in town for a rare family vacation. We were so excited for our experience. Getting there by gondola was great. We were shown to our table quickly. The dining area was very crowded and loud but beautiful. We had a corner table and I am sure the view would have been gorgeous if we could see anything but it was too dark outside. Our server was funny and kind but a few things happened with our food that left us all feeling a bit sad. My son’s crazy expensive Tomahawk was served cold, my daughter’s elk was served blue rare when supposed to be medium rare and my lamb was served with no potatoes and the server looked surprised that I wanted them although they were supposed to be served with the lamb. He several minutes later brought them and they were rock hard and cold. The desserts and wines were lovely. A strangely disappointing and pricy experience.

Allred's is atop a mountain and was hands-down one of our favorite views, meals, and experiences in Telluride. In summer, the menu combines all the area has to offer, and we were swooning over the tiniest details, from greens to fruit. We cannot wait to come back to this wonderful restaurant next summer!
