We visited with elderly relative my wife and I.. My wife having dietary need ie gluten and garlic intolerant was a little worried but when the Chef came out & reviewed the menu with her she was very happy. She decided on the baked Hake and salad with Chile butter. This is not an item on the menu but made... More

I have been here several times now on very different occasions. Sunday lunch is hearty, cosy and a well organised event that seems to go above and beyond the service you'd expect from a little pub. (I'd expect to have to book as you would a restaurant though- it gets very busy, and a few walkers were turned away around... More

Had lunch here with friends. The pub itself is full of character (dates back to 1588 according to the sign outside) and the height of the ceilings inside would endorse that. I'm only 5ft 10in but had to stoop to avoid banging my head on the beams but loads of character. Set right next to the River Bourne the beer... More

A delightful spot for a summertime drink and a nice meal. Sit beside the river and feed the fish. Good food, a good selection of well kept beer. Parking is a bit short but worth trying.

Great pub to sit next to the river in the sunshine. Great in the winter with the open fire. And serve really nice food all year round!

Stopped here on a walk along the Medway. Ideal place for pub lunch in an idyllic spot. Freshly made baguette. Staff friendly and helpful. We sat outside as it was a lovely day, but indoors looks like it would be cosy on a bad day with its wood burner and low ceilings. Note they stop serving lunch after 2pm, we... More

Someone had commented on this place on Facebook as somewhere nice to eat by the water. So we took a drive out there on Sunday. Obv a very popular choice as they were fully booked but we were able to eat outside and the weather was good. We ordered the roasts one lamb one beef. Both very nice and plentiful.... More

Five empty outdoor tables and several empty indoor tables and apparently too busy to serve or cook us any food. Even chips. So much space and not many there. Been several times before but after this rudeness will not again. Heading back to hopfarm where they serve no matter what.lower prices too
