Felt comfortable in here. Good ol' pub. Dogs allowed in bar area. Seems popular with dog owners. Roaring fire going. Right on the beach. Lovely.

Been here to eat a half dozen times now, great value and good size portions, the chilli & garlic scallops are to die for all served with fresh brown bread. The steaks are a great size. Live music on a Thursday night, open fire, amazing sea views from its position on the sea wall. Steak night on a Tuesday, curry... More

Popped in just after Christmas and it was very, very busy, so book if you realty want to go. The food is good but it is good pub grub - nothing too fancy. We had fish and chips and the table near us steak and chips - let's just say, if you are hungry, this is the place for you... More

The Cove House inn is just so special as a location with wonderful views of Chesil Beach that changes from tranquil beauty to stormy elemental. All through this the food and the real ales are served with constant good quality. This is a REAL English coastal pub that delivers REAL hospitality. It's not themed, it's not franchised, it's not chained,... More

Twelve of us visited The Cove House for the set Christmas meal. From the moment we entered we couldn't have been treated any better, the staff were welcoming freindly and efficient. We had pre-ordered so service was prompt and what a joy the meal was. All our group had the Christmas menu which was perfectly cooked, all piping hot and... More

I recently took my daughter and grandson to the Cove House Inn. We were made very welcome and the food was freshly prepared and cooked for us. This was not microwave cooking, but rather excellent fresh food prepared by a proper cook. The views over the storm tossed sea were terrific and the Inn gave that feeling of warmth and... More

Family lunch. Roasts were enjoyed by those that had them. Ploughman's was plentiful with good cheese and bread. The pickled onion was dry and the ham was poor quality. Rather a disappointing choice. Fish and chips were okay. The atmosphere was nice with the woodburner and the fact that this looks like a proper pub! Very good service.
