This lovely place has delicious food - i had the slow cooked lamb special with rosti, and it was so perfect in the weather, i really enjoyed the food. Would love to have sat downstairs rather than upstairs though.

Excellent views from the terrace and good service for coffee mid morning or afternoon. It gets busy at lunchtime with many tables pre booked. We didn't lunch there this year but saw some lovely dishes and platters coming out for other families as we left. The ice creams are lovely. We come back here every year that we come to... More

We went to the restaurant being advised by a local, the place is at the end of a steep road going into the forest, beautiful landscape during the day and spectacular nights when the sky is clear. The interior decoration is quite characteristic, resembling the traditional mountain hut (narrow passages, stone walls, wooden decorations, and even though there are different... More

We visited for lunch with my 2 kids - 4.5 years and 1.5 years. Restaurant is located on a very steep road - its maybe 500 metres from the main street, however its a steep climb - so you need to be prepared for it. They have a fantastic terrace with amazing views on the mountains and glacier. The service... More

I did really enjoyed the main-course, an 250g of entrecôte from the grill (good quality Swiss local beef) with vegetables side dish. But the rest - the bread with butter, starter "salad" and desert were just ok, too ordinary and nothing special. The service was correct, we had a probably a new staff serving us at the table, so he... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and brought us up there (it's a steep hike up from the Main Street). We had a lovely table on terrace with a jaw dropping view of the mountains, ski runs and surrounding woods. Luckily the sun was shining and the sky a brilliant blue, it was warm enough on the terrace to sit without... More

Run by the same family that owns the Bodmen, but this doesn't have some of the wonderful options at the Bodmen. The steak was a little bit chewy, but the unique hay soup and the fried goats cheese were divine.

Not easy in German speaking Switzerland to eat something light and fresh when it is baking hot outside. Schaeferstube had a very good choice, including cold meat and salad platters, a variety of salads and, after all this healthy eating, a naughty pudding: home made cinnamon apple fritters in a vanillas sauce that were the best I have ever tried!... this Restaurent has a very romantic atmosphere and is very cosy. You can sit side by side and have your dinner on soft furs of whole. The food was really excellent and the service very friendly. Go here for a candle light dinner and some time with your loved one. :)

Frankly I found the food in Saas Fee a bit disappointing other than this place and Du. We ate here a lot and it was always excellent. Specials, fondue and wienersneitzel were v v good. Service from all the staff was great, very friendly , and extremely professional. Macro who looked after us a lot was absolutely brilliant - a... More
