We both started with tomato soup, it was tasty. We were served by the old man, he is funny. I had the Jager schnitzel which was perfectly cooked. All the food was great in fact. We paid cash because the old man had a hard time using the credit card machine, he struggled with a table ahead of us. Now,... More

My scenario: I am a Brit with minimal German decoding and explaining the menu, slowly, to a French friend with no German. But we settled on a couple of dishes, a bottle of wine and some water with the firm intention of finishing with some apfel strudel. Come the end of the main course, could I raise any interest in... This was exactly what we were hoping we would hit for dinner! The price was great - the older couple who provided the service and ran the restaurant were outstanding. Their English is not great but they work with you to get things understood. It was outstanding and not "tourist" focused.

A restaurant with good local foods. The owner pair who are quite senior are still very active and taking the order themselves.

The restaurant still has the original interior design of its early days which obviously date back to the 1960s. Together with the senior couple (way above their 70s) managing and probably owning the restaurant this makes it a very special place to go out for dinner, The owner-couple provides a unique familiar service and you feel comfortable right from the... I'm not a consistent or prolific reviewer, but after having visited Dazert this evening, I feel it deserves a little extra attention. It's not a tourist place, no. The wait staff is a husband and wife (I assume) that look like they've been doing their thing here for forty years. The decor is what you'd expect of an older establishment,... More

This was our second visit to Cochem and this restaurant. Best meal we had in all of Germany. Simple but tasty. Great table service from a young man.

My wife and had a simple, but great meal of Jaeger Schnitzel, side salad and a bottle of quality German wine all for just under 50 euros. This was good value and would highly recommend to any other hungry traveller.

The food is very tasty German food with sensible portions. We were standing outside trying to read the menu when a very nice German man recommended the restaurant to us. We had a lovely evening with a good bottle of wine and good service. I can't understand why they don't have English translations on the menu. After all this is... More

One of the best authentic meals we had in Germany. Friendly staff. Large menu selections. Truly home-cooked.
