Enjoyed an early evening traditional German Fayre in authentic beer Keller with good service. Great place after a walk around the fascinating town. Recommend

The food is quite not bad. The schnitzel with spicy sauce is deliciously presented and tastes exceptionally. I would highly recommend it. I would not suggest that the European visitor shall try the roasted pork cooked here as it is not of high quality. The...main desert served at the restaurant is plums cooked with sugary dipped buttered bread. Really a marvelous finish of the dinner. You are welcome to try the local flavors here and enjoy the local version of the schnitzel.More

Schweinshaxe was ham rather than pork. Delicious - could not eat more than half! Staff were very generous with the local "Rattenkiller" schnapps. Worth a visit.

We ate here as a large group recently, The mixed starter was very nice as was the steak. The schnitzel was a bit tough, some came with a mushroom sauce and some didn’t (very strange) Some of the staff were not very friendly when you...questioned the meal choice, not the best customer service Would I eat here again? Perhaps but there is loads of choice in Hameln.More

Very busy, throughout the evening, with people eating or just coming for a drink. Good selection of Munich beers, and also German wines. Some interesting dishes, and the pork in mushroom sauce was exceptionally good. Staff members friendly and helpful, and patient .... as this...time we took a long time to make up our minds. One member of the group chose the sort of thick pancake slices with plums and vanilla sauce, but this was so huge, we all had to end up sharing it (not a problem though, as it was glorious)More

party of 4 had lunch here. we just arrived at 12.00 pm and tables were still empty. We ordered and received the food in a timely manner. This is an old building and many quotes, phases and pictures were observed on the wall. Food was...very good.More

I regard this as the best beer hall and eatery in Hamelin. The Krug has real character and the ambience is wonderful. The service is friendly and efficient and they serve a wide variety of traditional dishes. The rat theme fits perfectly with the whole...town's theme and no matter what the weather outside, you will have a good time. I met some delightful locals and despite a language barrier managed to have a great time. A must visit.More

Arrived at this restaurant at about 10 past 2 having decided we would stop there for lunch. Didn't realise at the time that they shut at 2.30. Did ask the waiter if it was still okay to order lunch. We were welcomed in with a...big smile. We sat in a room with one other family. We were all ordering at this late time but the waiter was happy to take our orders. The food came and was delicious. Hot, tasty and very good value for money. I would definitely recommend eating here.More

The place was packed when we went and initially we were told there were no free tables, but then we were offered a couple of the stools at the bar. It was perfect for people watching as well as quick service!! The food was excellent...as was the beer and the quality of service! Would definitely go back!More
