If you are planning to drink and enjoy the view of Giessen, Dach Cafe is the best place in town. It has a skybar and one of the coolest places in Giessen 👍🏻

Very nice bar located on a top floor of I think tallest building in Gießen. Its very nice decorated, with a pleasant staff working there and with a great coffee and cakes!

I had breakfast with a friend during the week here and paid 7,50€ per person for a meager buffet. My Latte Macchiato was 3,20€ for a 200ml sip. The variety was very sparse. Two selections of bread and what you see in the picture is what you get. That's it!!! In the end we paid 23€ (2 x buffet +... More

We have been there for breakfast at a Saturday morning. I loved it. Friendly helpful staff; big buffet and you can order eggs and other specialities from the card. Price is fair, quality excellent. Will always come back. But for weekend you should book a table :)

Had Dinner with colleagues. Wide variety of dishes and drinks, both local and international. Dishes were nicely served and were just enough for dinner. Place had nice, light, atmosphere, with great view from the upper balcony. All in all, recommended if you're in Giessen.

The Dach-Cafe is very recommendable. We were here for a business dinner. The staff reserved a private table for us in the corner. There are two areas: a Cafe and a Restaurant. 14th Level, with nice view over Giessen (which is not such an exciting city). 20 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof plus good parking facilities, because the premise is... A good place to eat as the food seems decent and consistent. Definitely one of the hippest places in Giessen to go. During warmer days it is very nice to sit out on the balcony to see the views especially at sunset and into the night. The service is friendly enough though be aware as the night goes on and... Cappuccino wasn't coffee, but milk with a sense of coffee. The sweet was sour, not due to a fine marmelade, but due to the many days in fridge. Tables dirty and staff not caring about it. You have to be patient to order and get your order. Only the view was quite good, but not good enough to get us... More

The setting at the highest building of downtown Giessen allows a panorama view over what is considered one of the ugliest cities in Germany. The selection of cakes and fine cooking reveals that there are actually nice sites to this town.

We were here for business trip, and hotel was just a few minutes walk away, so were here every morning. Coffee was great and their selection of desserts are amazing! My husband tried different cakes and it wasn't too sugary but all seemed fresh. We've only been to their ground coffee place, but never tried the restaurant. Only complaint: there's... More
