I went there yesterday night for a late dinner but the very friendly staff advised that dining is possible to 10pm. I ordered a typical local dish of Ox cheeks. The serving was ok but the gravy which came with it killed all the taste of the well cooked meat. Also the accompanying potato mesh was very tasting mostly of... More

I visited this restaurant again a few night ago, and I can confirm my first review of the place. the staff are very friendly, and the food was excellent. I had the potato soup and the Argentinian rump steak, which was of a very high quality. We had 10 people in our party, and everyone enjoyed the food and the... More

Yet another very old building housing a very good restaurant. Very close to the castle. The food is good, as is the German beer. The pretty female staff are very attentive, and make the dining experience even more enjoyable. I definately, definately reccommend this as a 'must go' place. I will be back.

As we love to eat in restaurants and try new things, we found this place in the middle of the old town of Aschaffenburg. Very good choice of different dishes from typical Schweinebraten :) to steak from organic meat.... It is not low cost, but by looking on the quality of the food, prices are fair. English menue is also... More

Great restaurant with excellent service and a cosy traditional interior with smaller rooms of four or five tables. The food was excellent, tasty sauces, wonderful dumplings, and tender meat. Reasonable prices for the high quality of the food. Bavarian and German cuisine. Definitely worth the walk into the old part of central Aschaffenburg (Stiftsberg). Try the Schweinebraten with two different... More

We discovered this restaurant about 5 years ago. During this time the owner changed but not the great food. At this restaurant you get great food and a perfect location for celebrations. Only sometimes the variety is missing. For example I am able to eat the same pasta for over 3 years now when we are dining there in the... More

I was there just once, but for sure I will come back again. We were sitting outside in the "yard" beautifully decorated by flowers and it was very nice itself. As we wanted just something small, we took salads - me with lamb, my colleague with salmon and both were very tasty. Having a look around, all food looked fresh,... More

Very good restaurant. Nice fresh salad from the local market. I recommend to order fish there. Do not forget to buy firm Bear Cup from the Zum Fegerer.

While visiting Europe last month, my cousins took us to one of their favorite restaurants, Zum Fegerer. Now we know why it's one of their favorites. The home of a former chimney sweep converted to a charming, homey restaurant, the place is cozy and inviting (plentiful parking within easy walking distance) close to the city center. The service was lovely.... More

This is a traditional inn in front with a modern addition in the rear, located in the city center. Local foods and wines well prepared and delivered withgreat service.
