What appeared to be a good Italian place to eat, turned out to be a place with average food, expensive prices (for the value provided) but lots of pretensions. I can easily do without this :-)

Best Italian, probably the best restaurant in town. Also in the surrounding area you have to go far to find an equivalent place. Small menu, big cuisine, something for lovers of fresh, home made true Italian dishes. Also a good wine list. You can taste that people at "Aldo's" love what they prepare and so do I going there.

We were returning to Stuttgart after visiting Lichtenstein Castle when we decided that we should not skip lunch and by chance the next town was Reutlingen and II Panino was at the traffic light. Italian name, but why not and glad we did. Excellent home made pasta specials, inexpensive meals, and friendly service. Fantastic! If we had been staying in... More

The food here tastes fresh and home made yet still is served with a contemporary flair. Our group was made up of English speakers, Italian speakers, French, and of course, German speakers. The menu selections satisfied everyone of our seven person group. We all ordered in different languages, and the owner performed mental gymnastics answering questions in each, for each... More

Il Panino used to be at a different location until 2 or so years ago. Not really many seats there at the time. The Italian owner, Aldo, continued to serve and spoil many loyal patrons over the years with top quality food and wine at affordable prices in a very enjoyable environment. His "new" restaurant offers way more seats and... More

Attentive and friendly staff. Pumpkin/ginger soup and delicious pasta for lunch. Very reasonable price on food and wines (they had 4 rose wines to choose from at 15 Euros/bottle - which is what I like to see on wine list). I did not get a chance to see the dinner menu but I suspect it is just as good. Il... More

I first ate here 4 years ago and was so impressed with the superb food, the presentation of it, and the excellent choice of red, rose and white wines all served in appropriate sized glasses. Aldo, the Italian owner, certainly knows what his customers want and expect from his fine food and this, without a doubt, is never disappointing. The... More
