If you are into beer, you do not want to miss this place. Kind and funny staff. All beers on tap Can also be purchased in 1 l bottles so you Can bring Them Home. All to very reasonable prices. The shady outside beergarden is lovely on a hot day?

We called in without reservation and were told that they were fully booked. However, if we would leave within one hour we could have a table. We agreed and ordered two of their own brewed beers and a main course only. To be honest although the beer is brewed in house we thought both the wheat (wizen) beer and the... More

This is my fourth visit to this restaurant. The portion is always great and meals delicious; typical meat and potato kind of meal. Suggest make a reservation for dinner and try their home brewed beer and spirit.

The steaks and schnitzels here aren't just huge, but also delicious, professionally cooked! Friendly staff, the Zwiebel Brauhaus is perfect for friends nights out, couples dinner and family evening out! The beer types change every other month, and so does the food special offers! Depending on the season they offer top of the shelf dishes! Fresh and tasty food, cold... More

What a lovely surprise on our first night in Soest. The Brauhaus was lovely a really lovely meal but it was enormous. Could have had one meal between two. The beer was fabulous and I think they brew it themselves, Very friendly place well worth a visit.

Our friends made reservations here, two months in advance, for our visit during Christmas. We came to the restaurant while the Christmas Market was in full swing so the place was packed with people. I think because of this (understandably) service was not as good as you may have liked. That said, the food was hearty and delicious. The ambience... More

Get there for local beer and food. As a minimum, try onion soup with cheese ANS dark or wheat beer. Will be back here for sure.

Good reasonably priced food with friendly staff and excellent home brewed beer. We ate in the beer garden where a bird pooped on me, however that did not detract from the evening.

Excellent service, great food (generous portions too) and in house beer is beautiful. Make sure you book though, otherwise you may not get a table as it's very popular. A must whenever we visit Soest.

Description
The only Soester brewery
When the Peace of Westphalia riders after the 30 year war between Munster and Osnabruck were traveling, as the half-timbered building of Renaissance beamed even from a quiet comfort. That has not changed in the last 400 years. From the old bakery next to the church has become a brewery, where the life between old oak beams and copper copper kettles shows at its best:
fresh home-brewed beer, grandma's bed, creaky
Wooden floorboards and a lot of nice people.
Where do you feel most comfortable?
The cozy bar on the ground floor, where the delicious aroma of hops and malt in the air?
Or the creaking stairs to dining groups from the good old days, each of which is different?
Perhaps in the light-flooded winter garden with space for larger groups or, weather permitting on a secluded spot outdoors?
Only when you have all tried once, you will know it - but in a sophisticated atmosphere, with many antiques and changing little extras you will discover something new anyway.
