Food was typically Bavarian, wine by the glass was good and drinkable. We had very good schnitzel here.

The portions are extremely generous so if you have t got a huge appetite perhaps consider the starters. My companion settled for a starter and what appeared was what Australians old consider a normal size meal. The atmosphere is good and the Brauhaus Wernigerode appears to fill quickly around 1800. There is also an outside dining area on the square... More

Me and two colleagues chose this restaurant for dinner while staying in Wernigerode. Right next door there is a kebab stand, so at first we weren't sure which tables belong where. Well, we chose a table on the square in front of the location. For drinks we had the home brew, both dark and Helles, which served our taste quite... More

Went in when Germany were playing in the European Cup football competition so anticipated a good atmosphere. It was indeed and because there were a number of televisions on different levels, we were able to eat in comfort and without too much disruption from the football (I couldn't imagine a similar scenario in the UK with the national side playing!!).... This is probably the most popular restaurant in the locality. Tables out in the square are great but inside it gets extremely hot. The food is good, fairly priced and the service is typical of the region

Their own beer is quite good, both the 'helles' as the 'dunkel', being the pale and dark beers. Food is what you expect in a German bar: enough and tasty comfort foods. And, as a tip, I'll say this only once: Have the Schnitzelburger! Allright, I'll say it again: Have the Schnitzelburger!

A popular place to eat and drink. The menu is typically German but the choice is varied and the portions huge. Really friendly staff and service was efficient. Worth a visit.

It was a lovely evening and too nice to eat inside so we opted to eat at the Brauhaus which has plenty of outside tables. On looking at the menu it was 'Schnitzel Day' meaning that all schnitzels were 9.90 euros. This seemed a good deal so we had a zigeuner schnitzel and a champignon schnitzel. Both were delicious and... More

I went with collegues once for food and several times for having a beer. If you are lucky and get serviced by one of the nice waitresses, then beer and food here will be a good experience, especially given that the interior makes for a good ambience. I usually do not have any problems with staff, but some of their... More

Don't be out off by the austere external appearance. Once inside it is an amazing building where you will find a good selection of beers, some under their own name although I suspect it is many years since the building properly functioned as a brauhaus of the kind found in nearby Goslar and Quedlingberg. We spent an evening here after... More
