Started out to be a promising night upon recommendation via others, but quickly declined into one of the most disappointing dining experiences we have ever had. To say that the waitress was incompetent is actually a compliment. We do not say this lightly as we have never made a negative comment and always look for the positives ... however here... More

It probably isn't the oldest pub in Germany and I doubt that Elvis drank there but the food is excellent and the beer is good. Miltenberg is very picturesque.

We had visited this old restaurant several times before and always enjoyed the ambience and the food. This time the whole family was together and we had reservations and got there a bit early. Since there was only one server, she asked if we could wait, since there was a group of about 40 people that was being served. We... More

The food was just delightful. Just perfect. Oh, the tasty sauce, the juicy meat, the perfectly cooked asparagus... All served with a smile in beautiful surroundings. I do not know how the experience could have been any better!

Typical German menu, good food. I'm not a beer drinker so I have no comments on the beer selection. Lovely old historical decor and ambiance.

This Gasthaus is located on the main street on the center of Miltemberg, that is a nice town to visit. The restaurant is very nice and tipical, where you can taste good bavarian food and also their own beer, they are the oldest in that area. Service is good and pay attention to your request. Suggested for a romantic dinner... More

Our tour guide told us that Elvis Presley had a beer here while in the service. I don't know if it is true. While we had a (very good) beer here, we never actually went inside. Built in 1590, it is actually 424 years old. Great beer and unique style.

We went to the oldest pub in Germany (as early as mid-12th century) for the beer. I could not find a weak link in the entire beer menu of Faust beers. Even the Pilsner is authentic. If you are a beer fan, and happen to be anywhere near this part of the planet, then you need to hoist a pint... More

As part of a Viking River cruise tour, 6 of us decided to have some brew and wine at this historic old tavern full of character after a long day of sightseeing in beautiful little Miltenberg. Because of low river levels, we were being bussed to another town about an hour away. About 15 minutes after the bus left Miltenberg,... More

Erected in 1590 it was recently renovated by Faust Brewery. A 3-faced half-timbered multi coloured building. Definitely one of the best in Miltenberg. It has won first prize at a local architectural contest and not without reason. It's unique in style and retains the glamour of old times. The restaurant is inviting and friendly. You may even find a quiet... More
