Good German cuisine

We had dinner here. Good German cuisine, accompanied by a few glasses of 'Federweissen', the first pressing wine. Staff was very friendly.

We travel to Italy quite regularly and were fed up with fastfood and highway dinners. Very happy to have found this restaurant which is now our first stop on our way down south. Great value for money and real German schnitzels!

Good food and beer, just see the other reviews. But Tripadvisor gives the wrong location. One should walk north from the statue of a man drinking wine from a barrel along Plötze, then take right to Fischmarkt.

Amazing steaks, beautifully cooked although the mixed grill was a bit over seasoned. Staff very helpful and do an exceptional job considering the lack of space.

Having a break just off the Autobahn we ended up in Limburg, which is a great place for a rest. Looking for a good meal we found in the heart of the little town the "Burgkeller" - which is no cellar but a typical medieval house with all its atmosphere such as "Stammtisch" and alike. We were very positively surprised... More

We came there after a good trip in limburg and wanted to have good german lunch. The place is an old place from the 17th century so it gave a special atmosphere. The menu was written with old gothic letters and it was slightly hard to read. We ordered a Sauerbraten(local german pork dish), a Burgskellerplanne( pork cut into strips,... More

Yummmmm! What a great restaurant, with great food, great bier on tap (Zischke, one of my favorites), and a wonderful ½ timbered building. We had Wiener schnitzel, goulasch soup, and a side of bratkartofflen. All were excellent. I absolutely love the ambiance and décor inside this 364 year old building. Dark, wood, and comfortable. I’d definitely eat here again!

The last night out of a fantastic vacation, found the best food in the second most picturesque town in town in Germany. Prices are high in Europe, but found value of the food and atmosphere to be higher than the price. The menu was in English , but a hard to get the waitress understand. The ambiance delightful.
