We arrived in the evening and were not sure that the restaurant will be working at all. Fortunately for us the restaurant was still open and we got quite soon our meals. Nothing very sophisticated, but simple and good food.

Weltenburger dunkel was the Weltmeister Bier 2012, and you can sample it here where they make it! Also the bavarian food is excellent. Get the Schweinshaxe! we arrived by boat trip down the Donau (Danube) and that was a fun addition as well.

A little bit expensive, but the food is very good and their beer is delicious. Crowded on weekends since, well, its the place to go and the place to eat, since it's the only thing there hehehe.

We took an excursion on our Danube River Cruise to Kloster Weltenburg, which is a monastery where the monks have been brewing beer since 1050. There is a picturesque beer garden in the courtyard. The cruise up to the Abbey is very beautiful. We didn't eat or drink anything during our visit, but it was an enjoyable stop.

This restaurant sits right in the center of the Abbey courtyard. It is a friendly and fine stop for a coffee, or a beer if you are so inclined. The service is fast, and the prices are reasonable. Enjoy!

Fun to walk around and easily accessible. Food is simple but good. Make sure to hit an ATM (geldautomat) before you go as they don't take card and their is no ATM there.

A boat trip on Donau took us to this old Kloster, monetary. Situated right on the Donau, literary "on" the water, sometimes even in the water if floods is high. Beautiful surroundings, the inside with its church from something like 1608 and a brewery form 1050 claiming to be oldest in Germany. We had gorgeous weather fantastic sit outside enjoying... More

What a lovely setting, but unfortunately we were there on a Sunday and it has been completely full. The waitresses did their best to serve the crowd. Unfortunately the food was not what we expected. When one orders a Schweinebraten (Pork Roast) one would not expect to receive a Kassler (smoked Pork). The sauce was very salty and tasted like... More

After a visit to the amazing Abbey, we recovered with a very good beer and a giant pretzel here. Very crowded and touristy, the waiting staff were efficient but not the cheeriest that we have ever met! Reputedly the oldest brewery in Germany, so they have had plenty of time practising to make a great beer!

From the Beer and Pretzel outside it's just a short walk into the Abbey. An absolute must see. There is no other Church like it. A short walk up the Hill leads to the Chapel of our Lady, which is truly beautiful. Well worse your time.
