During my three-days' stay at Koenigsee, I visited this restaurant two times. The second time I was there it was 6 o'clock PM and all inside tables were booked up due to the shower. One waiter told me that I had no chance to get to a table but another waiter, who helped me on my previous visit there recognized... More

A charming wooden interior, with heavy exposed beams, and odd bits and pieces of farming and fishing apparatus dotted about above head height, creates a welcoming impression. A suitably short menu gives confidence too, as smallish establishments with long menus normally indicate that everything is lying in the freezer, rather than being freshly cooked. Friendly staff, filling and satisfying food,... More

After a day on the Jennerbahn we walked over here for a beer and light dinner - excellent choice! It sits right on the lake with great views of the mountains and the boats coming and going on the lake. Very relaxing, and a nice break from the touristy mess at the boat docks.

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get the last indoor table tonight which was great as 5mins after sitting down it started to pour rain. The food was incredible. Great German cuisine. I had the Game Ragout (locally hunted deer in a gravy sauce served with mushrooms in a cream sauce, spätzle/german egg noodles, & a pear half... More

Followed a travel app's recommendations based on visitor reviews. Unfortunately the app said we needed to park the car and walk to Echostuberl. Wrong!! Follow Tripadvisor and park next to the restaurant instead. The walk was fine since the scenery was fantastic and after eating we probably needed the exercise to burn off the calories. The food is very good... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on the way to take a boat trip around Lake Königssee. We found Echostüberl quite by accident but were immediately enamored by the authenticity and feel of this most genuine Bavarian café. With its wooden chalet, Bavarian furniture, wooden beams, and wooden terrace, it looked like a scene out of Hansel and... More

This is hidden in one corner of koningsee and is one of the best kept secret of the area. They serve not only a great meal but also one of the better beers we had on the road. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area! Real authentic place for lunch!

Based on other other reviews we made reservations for our first night; do not pass this place up, period! Great food, great service, great location. We liked it so much we ate there the next three nights. If you decide to go, make a reservation via website or call!
