What a great location and a wonderful historic building to have dinner in. My meal was very good, but slightly over cooked. Wild boar and venison fillets on a skewer. Very nice, but if cooked perfectly, would be a five start meal.

Good regional food and local brew. The place is atmospheric. After we were seated a large party came and they where served before us. We shared a salad for starters but was not given 2 plates nor new cutlery for the main course. The waiters also forgot to say goodbye when we left.

Probably the best place to get traditional German food in Goslar. Their serviettenknödel are delicious as was their duck. Kind waiter. Bring time with you since it takes a little while.

Returned here after a first visit 9 years ago, and fond (perhaps over romanticised) memories. We ate outside this time with group of 7 of us. Menu pretty well as it was last time, majoring on local game dishes. Had beers (be clear on what type you want - many locals brew their own or use local micro breweries, and... More

We had two locals with us which made ordering easier. The food was fantastic and the decor was interesting. I appreciated the history of the building as a mill. We had a great meal. I would definitely eat here again to try more of the interesting dishes like boar, deer, etc. Great selection.

I had the hunters plate which was very good, the duck was tasty and tender, the venison was great as was the boar. This sounds like a lot of food but it was a taster plate, honest! My partners had an excellent meal too with fabulous fried potatoes with bacon and onions (yes I did steal some). The decor was... More

Great food and generous portions. The "apfelstrudel" was delicious - the best in Goslar. Highly recommendable place to dine.

We chose this place because it was busy, which is always a good sign. One waitress seemed to be doing everything - welcoming guests, cleaning tables, taking and bringing orders - and she was incredibly hard working. The restaurant itself is beautiful - even the menus are a work of art. We all chose different meals and all were delicious.... More
