The restaurant is located in the city center. It has got nice furniture and decoration. The dishes were nice, I have to say though that they were not as tasty as in other Indian restaurants that we tried before. But fine anyway..
Oh the service! That was really disappointing… I don’t know what happened, but the young waitress who took care of us, was very unfriendly and not helpful at all.
I would say that it is a “ just ok” restaurant.

Overall, the food was OK, but the meat portion of our chicken dishes was quite manageable. Yes, yes, inflation. Against this background, the price-performance ratio was also quite marginal. Nothing special.

We love Indian food de we took a taxi to get to this restaurant. We were not disappointed the food was delicious and the service very kind! Go there if you have a chance!

I am extremely disappointed with the food. One of my worst experience. The reason I was informed was that the cook was not informed that the guest is Indian. Because of the food was not with Indian taste. According to me the food was stale, irrelevant to the nationality of it’s a Indian restaurant everyone expect to Serve Good food not a spoiled food.

We were looking for a restaurant with gluten free options and were happy that the menu showed allergens and gluten. But, the experience was terrible. We waited for one hour before we got our dinner. We had ordered two different duck dishes which looked the same, were both tasteless in some red sauce. The meet was chewy and dry and nearly inedible. No vegetables, no potatoes as you normally expect in a vindaloo dish. The best was the basmati rice. Never again.

I’m English so maybe I need to caveat this review that I’m used to really good Indian food... but this definitely wasn’t it.
I think a good sign of a good curry house is that the lamb is soft. Sadly this lamb was tough and chewy.
However, the worst part is how watery everything was. When I put the curry on my plate the water just separated out. There was also a distinct lack of spices used. I don’t know if they’re difficult and expensive to get hold of in Germany but everything was so bland.
Maybe it’s perfect for the German palate... but I doubt it.
It gets 2 stars because at least the naan was quite good.

Bamberg can count itself lucky to have such a great Indian restaurant. We had a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere. Everything is freshly prepared and without a microwave. The prices for this kind of quality are great. We'd be happy to come back any time.

Had an excellent meal here with my friend Jimmy and a great time all round. Good chat with the waiter, who studies through the week and works here weekends.
We had starters main course and Nan. Also a lot of alcohol. 😀, Run by Sikh people who know how to be good hosts. Cheers folks

The food was amazing and at last I have found in Germany Indian food with the best blend of spices and heat
Truly the best curry I have had in Germany
And I have toured Germany many times with a band
And very friendly service

We were here on a Sunday evening and fortunately found a table for two immediately.
We ordered the traditional Thali that we always order here. There was Chicken Vindaloo, Lamb with Cashew, Prawns curry with Dal, Palak and Chana. The non-vegetarian preparation was really good, so also the Dal.
The service was friendly and prompt, food came in a decent time.
Recommended!!

Swarg is an Indian Restaurant in Bamberg.
Owned & run by an Indian Mr. Kuldeep Singh & family. It has tasty Indian food with best Indian hospitality.
We had Dinner with Indian delegates on tour to Germany.
One can have all Indian dishes here.
Very popular among Germans also. Must visit when in Bamberg.

We waited more than 1 hour for the meal. It was very slow... The foods weren't so good as we waited, and I couldn't believe, that in an indian restaurant isn't tandoori chicken, only chicken tikka... it was a disappointment, we never go there again...

We ate here on a Monday evening. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick. The food tasted excellent and the atmosphere was great. This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit.
