We were looking for a tambourine music and a good food in Novi Sad and have this was recommended place. Food: Perch and starlet fish below average, not crunchy and perch was greasy Service: very nice and professional lady with short hair and glasses, excellent...service Music: this was the main reason for going, HORRIBLE! Just beyond horrible. They played folk music on tambourine, some very countryfied and awful music that had nothing to do with old nice tambourine songs. Just terrible choice, and also pauses between performance were taking around 30 minutes, so it was really boring but at least we were ear-washed from folk songs. Not recommended for sureMore

Excellent food. Fish pate’ followed by delicious paprishka fish stew and poppy seed strudel. Charmless / abrupt service at first but it improved under pressure.

They make the best fish paprikash in this part of Europe. The starlet fish was heavenly made. I highly recommend everyone to try it. Atmosphere was good and we were sitting outside so we had the best view of the river. The waiters were young...and need some work experience, but we will forgive them because they were nice to us.More

Visited this restaurant in March 2022 with a group of 9. Overpriced Serbian food., very plain, small portions.. Although there was a large outdoor seating area which was available when we arrived, and it was warm weather, the staff wouldn't accommodate our request to sit...outside, never gave a reason. Inside , we asked again to sit outside because it was so hot indoors, they just said it `isn't possible ` to be seated outdoors. Didn't give a reason, so we assumed they didn't want to set the table. We had to open the windows ourselves. Unfriendly, rude waitstaff, overpriced for food that is nothing special. Ordered Fish stew, they served the cheapest one on the menu, but charged us for the most expensive. It was just a pot of soup with a small amount of one type of Fish, split between 3 people and charged 3750 dinars, (about 38 $). We asked for manager to explain why it was so expensive. They said it was their specialty and refused to change it. Even the French fries were cold leftovers. Big disappointment, we won't return.More

Based on the recommendation of a "taxi driver" (red flag #1) myself and a number of friends happened to eat at this restaurant. Bad choice. When we arrived there was outdoor seating overlooking the Danube river but the help was in no mood to accommodate...our desire to sit outside. (red flag #2) We went ahead and went inside where we were seated as far away from the windows overlooking the river (red flag #3) and proceeded to order what we were told was amazing fish stew. was it fish stew or just plain tomato soup/broth with a cut up carp thrown in as it was very plain and a small amount of fish. We also ordered a meat platter that was barely enough for 1 person let alone the 3 of us that wanted it. 3 small pieces of chicken a couple pieces of pork, a skinny kobosice and hamburger patty with some raw onion and a few wedgie fries to garnish the plate. These 2 "meals" alonr cost 5700 dinar!!! The menu didn't list the fish stew so we were shocked at the 1250 dinar per bowl price. There were a few other small dishes and bottles of water added in to make for a total price of 10500 dinar!! To sum up, this was a waste of time and especially money as the food was average at best and the pomfrits were luke cold. In short don't waste your time or money at this tourist trap on the river!More

The restaurant is on the Danube and specializes in local fish dishes. I shared a fish stew with my wife as a starter that was excellent. It was also more than enough for two. I had grilled trout for my main course, accompanied by potato...salad, that was also very good. Prices were very reasonable and the service was good. Highly recommended.More

The Acqua Doria restaurant, which offers regional specialities, is located right next to the mighty Danube river, the view from there is really nice. Behind is a huge rocky prominence of the Fruška Gora mountain with the awesome Petrovaradin fortress high above. The restaurant is...very popular, so the four of us had to book our table in advance. For an appetizer, we had pear and quince rakija (brandy) which was really good. I had Chicken soup with dumplings and it was very tasty, the portion was more than generous. The main course, Sausage in black beer was the highlight of the dinner, something to remember and recommend. My wife had Grilled mushrooms with fresh seasonal salad. We were also satisfied with our glasses of red wine.More

I visited this restaurant with my Serbian colleague and I would assume that this was something he wanted to show to a visitor. Atmosphere is nice and cosy. Menu is huge, including everything you could think of having in Serbia. We had some local starters,...some grilled meat and some fish stew. Everything was really good and atleast felt like authentic, but I really cannot estimate if this is true or not. Anyway, experience was great, food was great and I enjoyed. Four stars earned!More

If you feel like eating fish stew, this is the place to go. The setting is beautiful, especially in the summer, sitting outside is wonderful, and the view is great. Good place for a romantic dinner too.
