This unpretentious restaurant on the North Side of Grand Cayman in my view (no pun intended) is a gem for lovers of good food. It has a leisurely vibe with a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea as you sit on the deck literally over...the edge of the water! I had the marinated conch which was bursting with flavor and super tender, really good. Just remember to pack your patience when you go because they were short staff when we visited (still recovering from Covid-19) so service was a little slow. But I definitely recommend.More

So many restaurants closed, so we tried it. A bit over-priced, and the food was just "OK". we went once, but would not go back. the service was slow, even for an island.

We went on a Saturday at 6 pm & were happy to be seated right on the water. We enjoyed their fried bread. The fried lobster sautéed Cayman style was the best meal I have had on the island. It came with rice and beans,...fried plantains, and a vegetable medley. My husband had the grilled yellow fin tuna steak. He said it was the best meal he’s had in the island. It came with rice and beans and vegetable medley and fried plantains. Our daughter had a tasty jerk chicken wrap minus the spicy sauce. We shared the amazing key lime pie. Highly recommend. Nothing fancy - but delicious food with an incredible view of the sunset from the north end.More

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Absolutely terrible service and terrible staff. Wife and I are new to the island, been living here about a month, such a shame that this is the first place we've come across and had a bad experience with. Food took forever, and...I appreciate that it's "island time" but wouldn't expect the food to come out after two other couples who arrived ten mins after us and ordered more. When food came, it was cold. Burger is clearly "warmed up" from frozen and so is the fish curry. On exit, not even any eye contact from the server at the till. Just handed me the receipt with a "there you go". After paying, I took my card and said "thank you" and her response was "you're welcome". No smile. Not interested. Not even a thank you from any of the staff for our wasted custom and time. I was so angry when I got in the car and massively disappointed. Will be actively deterring visitors/newcomers to the island from your restaurant, let alone not recommending.More

We stopped here for lunch as part of our tour with Joe Tourist Outdoor adventures. His tour includes a lunch platter with Mahi Mahi, Conch, rice and beand, plaintains and veggies. The food was very good - the bread was amazing and the Mahi was...very tasty. They were out of turtle so we did not get to experience that. I would recommend Over the Edge!!More

Read article in local East End newspaper then checked reviews on Trip Advisor. Don't let outside fool you. We went for fish and were blown away that the had oxtail as a special. We both had the special of oxtail, beans n rice, sauted fresh...veggies and fried plantains, just like my mother in law cooked. We Had a tall white tip beer to wash it down. We had to meet the chef who created this amazing meal. Chef Buellah came 40 years ago from Jamaica. You won't be disappointed with the variety of food they sale!More

Fun bar tender named Sean, very pleasant guy! Dark and stormy night, great atmosphere and view ! Please don't change the interior, it has a rustic charm that makes it unique.

Our party of 10 was seated promptly out on the deck at the time of our reservation. The seating area is comfortable but clearly not meant to impress. Service was good on a busy evening, but one entree came out much later than the others....Food was good, but not outstanding. The fish entrees (particularly the tuna) were fine. Overall, average at best.More

We’ve been coming here for 13 years because my husband likes the food. I always have anxiety at the door because I never know if we’ll get a lukewarm welcome or be treated rudely. It’s that kind of place. Today it was rude and I’ll...never return. The waitress barely said a word to us, didn’t offer water and delivered our drinks only after we reminded her when our food arrived. 2 of the 4 entrees were not what we ordered. A table for 2 that arrived 20 minutes after us promptly received water and drinks while we still sat with nothing (just 4 of us, not a huge table). There was only one other table in the restaurant when we were seated. We’re friendly and tip generously but I am done dealing with this restaurant.More

We enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner at Over the Edge during our vacation to Grand Cayman! This is a very casual spot overlooking the water at Rum Point. The menu had several options. We really enjoyed it!

A lovely place for a sunset. Decent Angus beef sliders and fries. Fried mahi was crunchy and tender. Ice cold beer and very attentive staff. We will return.

We stumbled on this restaurant after spending the morning at stingray city and stopped for lunch. The initial greeting and seating by the hostess was pleasant but went down once our waitress came to our table. She was not pleasant or friendly and after we...asked for straws with our water, instead of simply telling us no straws with water, she made it a point to turn the menu over in front of us pointing to where it was written….it set a down hill time from there as she was not even receptive to simple pleasantries attempting to relax the vibe she was giving off. I tried the ackee and salt fish and can’t say it is something I would order there again. The other waitress working that day seemed like a rock star and was very pleasant when dealing with us but unfortunately she did not work our table. After sharing our experience with The manager at our hotel, she spoke of a similar experience at this restaurant requiring her to call the manager before. I’m not sure if I would visit again. PRO - great view from the deckMore

This restaurant was recommended to us by a your guide at another site. It was a great choice. The local beer suggestion was great and the food was greater. We had scarlet snapper, baked potato, fried plantain and a Greek salad with fried bread on...the side. We only left crumbs. I would recommend it. The food was flavorful and delicious.More

Didn't notice these on the menu. Note: we had a very nice breakfast there. Not many places offer breakfast, so we enjoyed finding it here.
