We went again to this restaurant for one of their special themed 7 course dinners. This time it was duck. Four breeds of duck were featured. Even to the extent of the lemon meringue pie being made with duck eggs. As we were 8 we asked to be seated in a square configuration so that everyone could converse with everyone... More

This is a restaurant in a small village about 45 minutes drive from Montreal. Menus are changed monthly to suit what is growing wild in the area. The chef produces incredible flavours with leaves, berries, such as crinkleroot, sea asparagus, cattail spears, sweet grass. She uses these to produce a fixed 6 course menu which is outstanding. Our wives are avid mushroom gatherings, and so we made the drive from Vermont to St-Roch de L'Achigan specifically for this experience (staying at B&Bs before and after). The four of us were delighted with the marvelous new tastes (to us) which chef Nancy Hinton created. E.g. the starter, after crostinis... More

We had read about La Table des Jardins Sauvages in the NYTimes after moving to Montreal and we finally visited for dinner. This is truly a gem with fabulous food by chef Nancy Hinton. They are tucked away, next to a beautiful part of the river, with outside space to enjoy a bottle of wine (your own!) with friends, before... More
