We drove over to the Ile d'Orleans and found this restaurant by accident. We sat in the lovely conservatory with full window views of the St Lawrence River. The place was cosy and full yet we were lucky enough to get a table with great views of the water. The meal was so much better than we expected, and we... More

We stopped for lunch while touring the Island. Service was very good. All four of us were very pleased with the lunch, wine and dessert. It was a smaller menu, but each of us was able to find a selection to their liking. The atrium had a great view of the seaway. I had the duck, it was the best... More

With temperatures soaring above average, a drive to Ile d' Orleans provided not only relief from the heat, but a very pleasant surprise at this establishment. We had lunch on their lovely riverside terasse, with a meal that matched the scenery: delicious lobster rolls that were generous and well-seasoned, crisp white wine, and a dessert described as a "brownie," that... While looking for a place for lunch on an outing around the tip of the island, we stumbled across this gem. It was too windy to sit on the deck, but we had nice sunny seats in the conservatory, and thoroughly enjoyed both the setting (right on the river), and the meal. The menu was simple, a nice break from... More

We stopped in here for lunch during a somewhat cold spring day and it fit the bill. The service was excellent and we sat out in the atrium area (conservatory) which overlooked the water. Our waiter was very attentive and spoke both English and French. My husband ordered the local beer brew and it was very fresh and tasty. I... More

We stayed at the hotel and the only restaurant around is pretty much at the hotel. We had a wonderful 3-course meal that was really high quality in both taste and presentation. There are a limited number of options, but ours were great and all sound can't-miss. The ambiance was romantic with a view of the water and the city... More

Regarding the food we have a limited perspective on the place -- we arrived after lunch but they did accommodate us. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. I had some Sangria made from local wines which was tasty. I had soup - which was very good, grilled cheese (served it with bacon and onions) - my... More

On Ile d'Orlean, that beautiful rural island in the Saint Lawrence River opposite Quebec City is the small village of Sainte-Petronille. And in this village is the Auberge la Goeliche. This cozy restaurant sits alongside the Saint Lawrence River and has a smashing view of the heart of old Quebec City. Thus its atmosphere is to be rated as excellent.... More
