Our party of eight had two vegetarians, who obviously ordered veggie dishes. Sadly they were served meet dishes which the staff initially denied were meat, claiming the bacon was tofu. Eventually they admitted it was meat. Pretty poor service.

The choice of food was fairly limited but what we chose was tasty and well presented. The serving staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. I recommend the Tartiflette... The only downside was that the kitchen staff kept putting food in their mouths as they prepared the food, which was a little off-putting.

Recommended by our chalet hotel staff for their night off, the restaurant is easily accessible and well appointed. We were seated downstairs, away from the main wood burning oven, so comfortable temperature, albeit a little tight squeeze. But being the 'night off' across the resort, not surprising that they were full! We booked on the Sunday eve for the Wednesday,... More

We visited for dinner last Wednesday and the food was amazing yet again. All seven of us left there very full and content! The food and the service was top notch.

We went as a large group (11) and the restaurant accommodated us easily. We did have a reservation but upon arrival to Alpe d'Huez we needed to change the date. Again, the restaurant was very accommodating. Our server Benôit was fantastic and helped us to select various wines to suit the tastes of the table. The portions were more then... More

A short walk from the Tourist Information Office, this wooden clad restaurant is bigger than it looks (there's a downstairs too), and is so popular that it is always full, despite the tables being pretty close together. We booked a couple of days ahead and they could only fit us in for a 9pm slot. We were there til almost... More

A group of 11, so we ate a good cross section on the menu. The Hake for 2 was fantastic. The Iberico pork was good, but pretty small portions. Not sure the large jacket potatoe with everything is always the best match? We were a little late arriving and we were then asked to give up our table for the... More

Visited here on a recent skiing trip having had it highly recommended by the tour operator staff. Nice cosy atmospheric venue but a bit cramped with the number of covers they fit in. The shared beef is the famed dish - and it is pretty good although our cut was perhaps a bit fatty. Service was a tad laboured and... More

Had the coute de boeuf, it was really excellent (€44 serves 2). Excellent wine suggestions from the waitress (demi bottles available) and a lovely cosy chalet ambience with a roaring fire. Deserves it's ranking on trip advisor. Book a day or two in advance to ensure a table especially if in a large group.

We ate dinner at La Cremaillere one night during our stay in Alpe D'Huez in early Feb. 2017. It was my first experience eating a traditional raclette and it was simply incredible! The restaurant is very popular and you should definitely make a reservation at least a few days ahead. Service was outstanding. We paid a total of 58 euros... More
